Several supercell thunderstorms developed over southwest Oklahoma and northern Texas during the afternoon hours and moved northeast on this day in 2011. One particularly nasty supercell storm developed over Wilbarger County in western north Texas. This storm moved northeast into Tillman County Oklahoma, eventually producing at least eight tornadoes over a five-county area. Two of the tornadoes moved near two Oklahoma Mesonet observation sites, both taking a direct hit. The Mesonet site near Tipton measured 86.4 mph before it was destroyed by debris. The Mesonet site near Fort Cobb measured 91.4 mph before it was destroyed. Although there was extensive damage from tornadoes, hail, and flash flooding across parts of southern Oklahoma, no injuries were reported.

During the afternoon through evening of November 7, 2025, a rare tornado outbreak occurred in the South Region of Brazil. The outbreak produced many tornadoes off of a cold front associated with an extratropical cyclone, most notably two violent tornadoes that were spawned from the same supercell.

After 6 inches of rain fell in the Antlers area during the evening of the 6th, a creek rose to an estimated 12 feet above bankfull stage overnight. Early on the morning of the 7th, a vehicle was washed by the floodwaters off the county road and into the creek.
Roads were closed due to high water and two bridges were washed out after 5 inches of rain fell in a couple hours.
Homes were reported flooded and numerous roads were closed.
Nearly four inches of rain caused flooding along the Niangua River at Bennett Springs State Park causing damage to the fish hatchery pools.

Very deep tropical moisture pulled up by the circulation of Tropical Cyclone Eta as it was moving across Cuba and into Southern Florida moved over the area. As a result, environmental conditions were very favorable for multiple days of heavy shower activity.
An upper level storm system brough scattered strong to severe storms that produced large hail, wind damage, and flash flooding for areas near and west of I-35 on both the 7th and 8th. The largest observed hail was the size of golf balls and was reported in Young County.
The combination of an impressive tropical airmass (precipitable water values of 2.00-2.50 inches) and deep forcing for ascent produced a large area of very heavy rainfall across southeast Georgia.

On this date in 1987, a late season severe thunderstorm developed over central Oklahoma. Golf ball-size hail was reported in Oklahoma County, with severe hail also reported in Lincoln County.

On November 7, 2004, the Aurora Borealis, also known as the northern lights, were seen over the skies of Oklahoma. The light show was even seen across parts of California, New Mexico, and as far east as Alabama.

In the wake of the storm that moved through the region on Halloween, bringing up to an inch of rain in the San Joaquin Valley, areas of dense fog developed each night between November 2 and November 10.
Dense fog spread into the Imperial Valley in the morning of the 7th, with visibility falling to a quarter of a mile or less. A multi-vehicle collision, involving three cars, occurred in the northern city limits of Calexico.
During the morning hours of November 7th, dense fog covered much of central, south central and parts of southeast Kansas. Airport observations indicated visibility was less than 1/4 of a mile in all of these areas. A dense fog advisory was in effect during this time.
Calm winds and clear skies with low-level saturation behind a cold frontal passage promoted the development of dense fog, mainly over Western Kentucky. Dense fog developed late evening, continuing through the night into the morning hours with clearing latest in the south.
