Shortly after the tornado lifted back into the cloud, the thunderstorm that spawned the tornado collapsed and downburst winds of near 100 mph spread out along County Road 68. Three trailers and a frame house were damaged. Two of the trailers were unsalvageable and the other had roof damage. The frame house was blown from its blocks and ended up about twenty feet from its original location. Only minor injuries occurred. Two commercial chicken houses were also damaged. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down.
