A low pressure system moved over Southern California, bringing rain and high level mountain snow. Coast and valley areas received between 0.50 inch and 1 inch, with locally higher amounts up to 2 inches in the valleys.
Pacific low pressure system off the central California coast pushed a warm plume of moisture over Arizona with snow levels above 8000 feet. This caused increased flows on area streams and rivers.

Pre-frontal winds downed 10 power poles in the Bear Valley area of the Tehachapi Mountains. Gusty wind to 40 MPH on the Southern San Joaquin Valley floor downed numerous trees and powerlines in and around Bakersfield.
John Moon, who lives near Hwy 108 West of Ashdown, had three chicken houses, one metal building and farm equipment destroyed and a fourth house damaged. In addition, he lost 44,000 two day old chicks with an estimated total damage of $350 thousand dollars.
