Hurricane Otto crossed the coast near Guápiles, Limon Province, Costa Rica as a category 3 hurricane, 100 kt (115 mph), central pressure 975 mb. It killed 23 people in all. Hurricane Otto was a strong late-season tropical cyclone that impacted parts of Central America in November 2016. It was the first Atlantic hurricane since Cesar–Douglas in 1996 to survive the crossover from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

What was the longest tornado of the day began at 10:55 am about a two tenths of a mile inside Pickens County or about 5.8 miles southwest of Kennedy. The tornado traveled across southeastern Lamar County damaging or destroying a number of structures south and east of Kennedy.

A short-lived tornado destroyed a mobile home, injuring 3 people. One man was thrown from the trailer towards the road in front of the house, and his 15 month old daughter was thrown 50 feet to the right of the trailer. A woman was buried in the rubble.

The same thunderstorm that spawned the Sylacauga tornado produced another tornado in eastern Talladega County. This tornado was also rated an F2 on the Fujita scale and began at 3:59 pm 4 miles southeast of Winterboro in the Talladega National Forest.

The start of this F1 tornado was approximately 1 mile east of SR 9 on CR 58 where a roof was torn off a barn. On Black's Chapel road near Black's Chapel, several trees were snapped off at mid-trunk. Black's Chapel itself had the steeple torn off with additional roof damage.
The tornado first touched down at 2:25 pm along CR 65 southwest of Peaks Corner causing tree damage. The tornado tracked northeast to CR 52 where a small barn was destroyed.
North of Cullman damage was reported at Terri Pines Country Club and in the town of Vinemont. At Terri Pines several tall trees were damaged, either uprooted or snapped off at mid-trunk.

The tornado touched down in the vicinity of the Talladega Superspeedway. Two concession stands within the infield area of the race track had their roofs blown off. The Bush Garage area received building damage and the garage doors were bowed out.
A tornado traveled east to west on path along Dedeaux Road between Highway 49 and Three Rivers Road in the Orange Grove community. Most of the damage was rated a F1 intensity by a NWS ground survey, however there were areas of F2 damage.

The eighteenth named storm and twelfth hurricane of the 1969 Atlantic hurricane season, Martha developed in the southwestern Caribbean Sea on November 21, with sustained winds of 50 mph (80 km/h).

Up to five inches of rain in a few hours caused Cooper Creek to overflow its banks resulting in several feet of water to flow across the Mayhill Road Bridge.
Heavy rain caused Bear Creek to overflow its banks and flood Bear Creek Road. An elderly woman that drove into the flood waters, was swept into the creek and drowned.
Several homes and businesses were damaged. Numerous trees were knocked down.
Several roads were reported covered with water and were temporarily impassable. Several area streams and creeks rose above bankfull. Doppler radar estimated widespread rain amounts of 4 to 5 inches with a few spots approaching 12 inches.
The Rome News Tribune reported that two portions of Old Dalton Highway, northeast of Rome, collapsed because of heavy rain and flash flooding.
Several roads were reported covered with water in the city of Gadsden. Many of the roads were temporarily impassable due to the high water. Several area streams and creeks rose above bankfull. Canoe Creek rose out of its banks and flooded a few homes.
Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain fell in 24 hours over the lowlands, with 6 to 10 inches in the mountains. Flooding occurred on the Samish, Stillaguamish, Bogachiel, Snoqualmie, Nooksack, Skykomish, Snohomish, Skokomish, and Tolt rivers.
Up to six feet of snow which fell during two lake effect events the previous week melted as temperatures climbed into the 60s. Snow water equivalents ranged from four to six inches.

Sustained winds of 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph belted south-central Nebraska for almost 5 hours on the afternoon of November 24th. The winds resulted from very strong low pressure moving east into Iowa.
Gusty wind began in the Tehachapi Valley area around 1150 PST with wind gusts as high as 47 Kts, however, higher wind occurred in the Weldon area east of Lake Isabella as some roofs were damaged.
