There was an earthquake on Kyushu Island. The tide gauge at Hosojima registered a tsunami with a height of 10 cm in its latter stage and a period of 20 minutes. The assumed travel time of the tsunami was 20 minutes to Aburatsu and 40 minutes to Tosashimizu. (Reference #414)
