Hurricane Gordon crossed the coast near Puerto Cabezas, North Caribbean Coast, Nicaragua as a depression, 30 kt, central pressure 1008 mb. It killed 1,152 people in all. Hurricane Gordon was an erratic, long-lived, and catastrophic late-season hurricane in 1994. The twelfth and final tropical cyclone of the 1994 Atlantic hurricane season, Gordon formed as a tropical depression in the southwestern Caribbean on November 8.

1999Dense Fog in California, November 10, 1999

Due to localized, lowered visibility in dense fog, 6 cars and 3 trucks were involved in a vehicular pile-up at 0645 PST on Highway 43 between Corcoran and Hanford in Kings County. Local newspapers and law enforcement had campaign about upcoming "fog season" on 10/29/99.

2005High Surf in Oregon, November 10, 2005

A "sneaker wave" swept a mother and two sons into the surf near Port Orford. The mother and older son were drowned, the younger son survived and was treated for hypothermia. Surf at the time was heavy, but not heavy enough to qualify for a High Surf Advisory.

Fog developed over portions of the South Plains during the morning hours of the 10th, and the fog briefly became dense at a few locations. Low visibilities contributed to a fatal automobile accident near Amherst (Lamb County) around 08:30 CST.
