Low pressure over the Central Plains moved across the Great Lakes and brought high winds to western New York and the North Country. The strong winds, gusting to 62 mph, brought down tree limbs and power lines across the region.

Low pressure over the Central Plains moved across the Great Lakes and brought high winds to western New York and the North Country. The strong winds, gusting to 62 mph, brought down tree limbs and power lines across the region. Several windows were blown in. In Tonawanda, a large tree limb fell on a home causing damage to the roof and a bay window. In East Rochester, several buildings were damaged as walls were blown in. One cinderblock wall was over 30 feet high and 100 feet long. In Allegany, the winds ripped the roof off a trailer home. Thousands were without power as outages were scattered across the area. Power outages were reported in Macedon, Geneva, Victor, Farmington, Manchester, Rochester, West Seneca, Clarence and Lancaster, as well as other cities and towns in the region.
