Hurricane Gordon crossed the coast near Harlem Heights, FL as a tropical storm, 45 kt, central pressure 996 mb. It killed 1,152 people in all. Hurricane Gordon was an erratic, long-lived, and catastrophic late-season hurricane in 1994. The twelfth and final tropical cyclone of the 1994 Atlantic hurricane season, Gordon formed as a tropical depression in the southwestern Caribbean on November 8.

19891989 Coldenham tornado

In the afternoon hours of November 16, 1989, a relatively weak but deadly tornado moved north through Orange County, located in the state of New York. Despite causing relatively little damage for the majority of its path, late in its life the tornado blew down a free-standing cafeteria wall located at the East Coldenham Elementary School, killing nine students and injuring eighteen others.

On this day in 1996, showers and thunderstorms along a strong cold front advanced across Oklahoma and western north Texas. Golf ball-size hail fell just west of Walters, in Cotton County, while 75 mph winds gusts were estimated near Marlow, in Stephens County. Wind damage occurred near Geary, Apache, Burneyville, Walters, Norman, and Purcell. An F0 tornado was observed northeast of Apache. Widespread flash flooding also occurred across Alfalfa County, closing all roads north and south of Cherokee, and damaging 20 homes.

A total of 24 tornadoes touched down during this 15 hour period of severe weather in southeastern Texas on November 17, 2003. In addition to these tornadoes, a major flood developed over Harris and surrounding counties during the middle of this tornadic outbreak.

A tornado struck near Garden Ridge along FM3009. Damage to the trophy oaks subdivision was very concentrated...with 40 or more trees snapped off or pulled out of the ground laid down in all directions. Some of the trees were large with diameters in excess of 12 inches.

Typhoon June, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Rosing, was an extremely powerful tropical cyclone that is tied with Typhoon Nora in 1973 as the third-most intense tropical cyclone on record. The twenty-third named storm, fourteenth typhoon and third and final super typhoon of the 1975 Pacific typhoon season, June originated from a tropical disturbance moving westward over the Caroline Islands on November 14, organizing into a tropical depression two days later.
