.SYNOPSIS...
Gusty Santa Ana winds will continue this morning, with the
stronger gusts of 50 to 60 mph along and below the coastal slopes
of the mountains in Orange and San Bernardino Counties, and 40 to
50 mph for Riverside and San Diego Counties. The winds will
gradually subside late this morning and afternoon. Warmer days
with weaker winds for Friday and Saturday. Cooling will begin to
spread inland on Sunday and Monday as onshore flow strengthens. A
low pressure system moving inland through California will bring
gusty west winds for the mountains and deserts for late Monday
into early Tuesday along with a slight chance of showers for
Monday night. Then dry and warmer for the middle of next week.

This morning, Santa Ana conditions continue, with northeast to
east winds gusting to around 60 mph near and below the Cajon Pass and
the coastal slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains. In the Inland
Empire below the Banning Pass and for the San Diego Mountains and
inland valleys winds will continue gusting 40 to 50 mph. Winds
will gradually weaken during the late morning and afternoon. Winds
will be weaker and more localized below the Cajon Pass tonight
into Friday morning.
High temperatures near the coast today will be several degrees
cooler than Wednesday with inland areas a few degrees warmer.
Warming will continue for inland areas of Friday and Saturday
with Saturday high temperatures mostly within a few degrees of
average.
Onshore flow will begin to strengthen on Sunday, peaking late
Monday into early Tuesday as a low pressure system moves quickly
inland through California. Cooling will begin to spread inland on
Sunday, spreading into the mountains and deserts on Tuesday with
Tuesday high temperatures around 5 degrees below average. There
be gusty west winds for the mountains and deserts late Monday
into early Tuesday. There is a slight chance showers for Monday
night. Night and morning coastal low clouds may return on Saturday
and continue into Tuesday morning, then dry and warmer with
offshore flow returning for the middle of next week.

071715Z...Areas of E-NE winds 15 to 25 kt with isolated foothill
gusts to 40 kt will continue in foothills and parts of valleys
(Santa Ana mountain foothills, Inland Empire and San Diego
foothills)through 20Z then decreasing. Moderate to strong
up/downdrafts over and west of the mountains are expected. Some LLWS
coast and valleys where strong winds temporarily lift off the
surface. Diminishing winds after 18Z. Mostly clear skies today and

Santa Ana conditions continue with gusty northeast to east winds
this morning. The stronger gusts (to around 60s mph) will be near
and below the Cajon Pass and the coastal slopes of the Santa Ana
Mountains. In the Inland Empire, the Banning Pass and for the San
Diego Mountains and inland valleys expect wind gusts 40 to 50
mph. The winds will gradually weaken during the late morning and
afternoon. There will be weaker and more localized winds below the
Cajon Pass for tonight into Friday morning. Lowest daytime
humidity for inland areas will fall to around 10 percent with poor
overnight recovery to 25 to 35 percent.

Several small brush fires started along SR 91 and the Peralta scales. Santa Ana wind gusts 25 mph and relative humidity 12 percent at the time.
A wildfire broke out west of I-15 in Fallbrook called the Garden fire. At Gird avenue and Pala Mesa road. The wildfire did burn 50 acres and threated several homes. The relative humidity was as low as 10 percent. The brush fire resulted in evacuation orders and warnings.
The Resort wildfire erupted near 430 pm. Near SR 79 in Warner Springs. The brush fire burned around 25 acres before containment. The relative humidity was 10 to 15 percent.
