- Wildfire in California, June 2 to 8, 2018A brush fire broke out in the Aliso Viejo Canyon Park around 2pm on 6/2/2018. The fire scorched approximately 200 acres and forced evacuations of thousands of residents in the Aliso Viejo and Laguna Beach. No structures were damaged.

Seven homes were destroyed and the fire affected 30 tribal members in total. Members were displaced from their homes and lost all of their possessions.

- Wildfire in Oregon, July 15 to 31, 2018The Hendrix Wildfire was caused by lightning. The time of ignition was around 0830 PDT on 07/15/2018. As of 0330 PDT on 08/01/18, the fire covered 1082 acres and was 70 percent contained. 0 structures were lost and 7.8 million dollars had been spent on firefighting efforts.
- Wildfire in Oregon, July 15 to 31, 2018The Taylor Creek Wildfire was initially part of the Garner Complex, but was split off under a separate management team as of 07/30/2018. It was caused by lightning and the time of ignition was around 0900 PDT on 07/15/2018.
- Wildfire in Oregon, July 15 to 31, 2018The Garner Complex consisted of at least six fires caused by lightning. The time of ignition was around 0900 PDT on 07/15/2018. As of 0330 PDT on 08/01/18, the fire covered 8886 acres and was 65 percent contained.

The time of ignition was around 1509 PDT on 07/15/2018, but the 10 wildfire became apparent several days later. As of 0330 PDT on 08/01/18, the Timber Crater 6 fire covered 3126 acres and was 85 percent contained.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 15 to 17, 2018A wildfire began on July 15th 5 miles east of Sage Junction south of Highway 33 due to exploding targets from gunfire practice. It was near Menan Butte. The fire grew to around 1,000 acres over grass and brush. Highway 33 was closed for a short time.

- Debris Flow and Flood in Colorado, July 16, 2018Deep subtropical moisture lingered across southwest Colorado and resulted in scattered showers and thunderstorms that produced heavy rain and debris flow.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 16 to 18, 2018A lightning induced wildfire began July 16th 5 miles southeast of Carey and burned over 4,000 acres of grass and brush before it was contained. No property damage occurred.

IT was grass, brush and timber with some structures threatened. North Heglar Road and Mill Flat Campground were closed to the public.

- Wildfire in Colorado, September 13 to 15, 2018A wildfire began from unknown causes about 20 miles northeast of Elk Springs.
- Wildfire in Wyoming, September 15 to 30, 2018The Roosevelt Fire began as a campfire that was left unattended and spread to eventually burned over 61,000 acres in Lincoln and Sublette Counties. The fire was reported by a father and son hunting party on September 15th in the Wyoming Range.
- Wildfire in Idaho, September 15 to 16, 2018A fire began about 2 miles south of the Pocatello Regional Airport near Michaud Creek Road. The fire began around 1 pm MDT on the 15h and 40 mph winds spread the fire rapidly to 254 acres on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.
- Wildfire in Utah, September 15, 2018A human caused fire developed during the afternoon of September 15 in Herriman. The fire destroyed two homes before being contained that evening.
- Wildfire in Idaho, September 19 to 20, 2018Fire began at around 4 pm MDT on September 19th on private land and quickly spread to 911 acres before being contained. It burned in grass, brush and maples on steep ground. The fire was 100 percent contained on September 20th.
- Wildfire in Idaho, September 22 to 25, 2018A fire which was begun 5 miles southeast of Soda Springs by sparks from a welder repairing a mail box, burned 1,066 acres and destroyed 2 summer homes and 2 trailers. The fire began September 22nd at around 2 pm MDT and was 100 percent contained on September 25th.
- Wildfire in Idaho, September 22 to 27, 2018A fire which was an escaped agricultural burn grew to 13,500 acres 4 miles southeast of Malta. It began September 22nd and was controlled don September 27th. It burned grass, brush and timber but caused no structural damage.
- Wildfire in Nevada, September 30, 2018Gusty winds and dry conditions helped to fan a large and destructive fire in the Ruby Mountains. The fire was human caused and burned in the Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest.
- Wildfire in Colorado, October 1 to 9, 2018A wildfire began from human activities about one mile northwest of Basalt. Difficult terrain and continued hot and dry conditions led the fire to persist for several months.
- Wildfire in Wyoming, October 1 to 5, 2018The Roosevelt fire continued to burn into the first part of October. However, cooler temperatures and precipitation moved over the fire. As of 0330 PDT on 10/01/18, the fire covered 38134 acres and was 84 percent contained. 0 structures were lost and 43.7 million dollars had been spent on firefighting efforts.
- Wildfire in Oregon, October 1 to 3, 2018The Miles Wildfire was originally part of the South Umpqua Complex Wildfire. It was caused by lightning and the time of ignition was around 1200 PDT on 07/15/2018.
- Wildfire in Oregon, October 1 to 31, 2018The Klondike consisted of the Klondike and Granite fires, which merged into one fire. Both fires were caused by lightning. The time of ignition was around 1830 PDT on 07/15/2018. As of 0700 PDT on 11/02/18, the fire covered 175258 acres and was 80 percent contained.
- Debris Flow in California, October 7, 2018A trough of low pressure over Arizona brought a few scattered showers and thunderstorms to the San Diego County deserts on October 7th. These showers resulted in a rock and mud slide on highway 78 near Buttes Pass Road in San Diego County.
- Wildfire in Oregon, October 14 to 23, 2018The Stukel fire started on the afternoon of 10/14/2018, and it was caused by a shooter using exploding targets. As of the last report at 0700 PST on 10/23/2018, the fire covered 518 acres and was 100% contained.

The fire ignited during a strong Santa Ana wind event and the combination of gusty winds and very dry conditions allowed the fire to spread very quickly.

The fire was contained on November 16th after consuming 2473 acres. Around 30 people were evacuated from the area.

- Wildfire in Texas, December 1, 2018Dec 1: The 0000168 Wildfire began 1355CST about six miles southwest of Conlen Texas in Dallam County off US Highway 54 East. The wildfire consumed three hundred and seventy-nine acres and was caused by equipment use.
- Debris Flow in California, December 6, 2018Heavy rainfall around the Woolsey Fire burn scar produced significant mud and debris flows. Per law enforcement, mud and debris closed the Pacific Coast Highway at Leo Carrillo Beach.
- Debris Flow and Winter Weather in Oregon, December 11 to 12, 2018A warm front moved through northwest Oregon the morning of December 11th, lifting snow levels up high enough for precipitation to fall as rain ahead of the cold front that afternoon.

- Wildfire in Texas, December 13, 2018The Grass Fire 287 & 20 wildfire began at 1345CST about three miles southeast of Lelia Lake Texas in Donley County just south of U.S. Highway 287 and then east right off of County Road 20. The wildfire consumed six hundred and forty acres and was caused by downed power lines.

- Debris Flows and Heavy Snow in Kentucky, December 21 to 22, 2018Persistent rain over the past day began to change to snow above 3000 feet during the morning of the 21st as colder air moved in aloft, with snow levels continuing to descend to near 2500 feet through the afternoon.
- Wildfire in Hawaii, December 28, 2018A fast-moving blaze charred about 50 acres of brush in the North Kona District on the Big Island of Hawaii. The fire started in the middle of the afternoon on the 28th near Hinalani Street and Ane Keohokalole Highway, and was put under control by firefighters later that day.
- Wildfire in Florida, January 1, 2019Dry conditions across South Florida allowed a wildfire to burn in Glades County. A wildfire started near LaBelle and burned around 40 acres. The wildfire destroyed two mobile uninhabited mobile homes.
