Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Sacramento CA 211 PM PDT Sat Jun 30 2018 .SYNOPSIS... Hot, dry, and breezy conditions this weekend. Cooling trend returns early next week with below normal temperatures expected for the forth of July. && .DISCUSSION... The strongest northerly winds peaked by late morning with some gusts up in the mid 30s over the north end of the valley to lower 30s over the west side of the valley. Still breezy conditions in the valley and they will continue into the evening. Some flow is expected through the Delta overnight but it will only start to impact the Delta and areas near the Delta on Sunday. Further inland places are expected to be a little warmer than today. The Delta breeze should pick up mid afternoon and evening on Sunday and will help to lead to cooling for the entire valley for Monday. A trough will gradually replace the ridge over the west coast late Monday and Tuesday. This will bring cooling throughout the interior each day down to near normal by Tuesday. Decent Delta breezes are expected each day next week. && .EXTENDED DISCUSSION (Wednesday THROUGH Saturday) A Dry cooler pattern with southwest flow aloft is expected through the latter half of next week.
