- Coastal Flood in New York, October 28 to 30, 2012Post Tropical Storm Sandy was the costliest natural disaster in Southeast New York. Tropical Storm Sandy formed in the Caribbean Sea on October 22.
- Flooding and Coastal Flood in New Jersey, October 28 to 31, 2012Post Tropical Storm Sandy was the costliest natural disaster by far in the state of New Jersey. Record breaking high tides and wave action combined with sustained winds as high as 60 to 70 mph with wind gusts as high as around 90 mph to batter the state.
- Coastal Flood in Puerto Rico, November 17, 1996Civil Defense reported that in Arecibo, one person was confirmed dead, and one missing. Two men in a 27 footer vessel went out to sea. 15 foot swells came up suddenly and broke the boat in two pieces. One drowned body recovered, the other was missing, presumably drowned.
- Coastal Flood in Alaska, August 1, 2008Event continued from July. A 980 mb low pressure center moved counter-clockwise across the southern Beaufort Sea during 29th through Aug 1st, bringing several periods of west winds 30 to 50 mph across the Arctic Coast of Alaska.
- Coastal Flood in New Jersey, October 29 to 30, 2012Tropical Storm Sandy formed in the Caribbean Sea on October 22. After drifting slowly southwest on October 23, Sandy turned to the north and intensified to a hurricane on October 24, just before making landfall in Jamaica.
