- Winter Storm and Coastal Flood in North Carolina, January 3 to 4, 2018Rapidly deepening low pressure passing offshore of the coast produced widespread hazardous winter weather across eastern North Carolina from the evening of January 3rd through the morning of January 4th.
- Flooding and Coastal Flood in North Carolina, November 12 to 15, 2009The remnants of Tropical Storm Ida interacted with a strong upper level disturbance to produce a deep, slow moving, low pressure system off the Carolina coast November 11th through the 13th.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in North Carolina, October 2 to 5, 2015A deep amplitude east coast upper trough closed off across the southeast states for several days while a surface front meandered across the area. Deep moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean continued to feed into the area.

- Flood and Coastal Flood in North Carolina, October 2 to 5, 2015Low pressure south of eastern North Carolina combined with strong high pressure to the north produced strong onshore flow October 2nd through the 5th. These onshore winds led to locally heavy rain and significant coastal flooding in many areas.
- Tornadoes and Coastal Flood in North Carolina, January 9 to 10, 2024Late on the evening of January 9, 2024, a strong cold front moved east across the Carolinas, and was accompanied by a line of severe thunderstorms.
- Coastal Flood in North Carolina, October 28 to 29, 2012Tropical Cyclone Sandy moving northward well off the Mid Atlantic Coast produced very strong northeast winds which caused moderate to severe coastal flooding across portions of northeast North Carolina.
- Coastal Flood and High Wind in North Carolina, November 2 to 3, 2007The extratropical remnant low pressure of former Hurricane Noel moved northeast well offshore of the Carolina coast on November 2nd. Although the center of the low remained well off the coast, strong winds and moderate coastal flooding occurred across eastern North Carolina.
