- Flash Flooding in Texas, July 4, 2025Tropical Storm Barry moved into and dissipated over eastern Mexico. Moist air from the remnants of Barry moved northward into Texas. Precipitable water values over South-Central Texas increased to near record levels.
- Extreme Cold and Cold in Texas, February 12 to 16, 2021Record cold and windy conditions gripped Southeast Texas behind the passage of an Arctic front. The extreme cold and increased demand led to widespread power outages, loss of heat for many and led to the bursting of pipes with some losing water for many days.
- Tornadoes and Tropical Storm in Texas, August 25 to 31, 2017Harvey made landfall as a category 4 hurricane near Rockport, Texas during the evening of August 25th.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Texas, April 10, 1979
- Heat in Texas, June 27, 2022Temperatures were unusually hot on the 27th with high temperatures in the San Antonio area ranging from 100-103 degrees (the normal high is 93). Sixty-seven people were found in a tractor-trailer on the southwest side of San Antonio.
- Heat in Texas, September 21 to 28, 2005Deaths were all associated with the evacuation for Hurricane Rita, both before and after Rita's arrival. Rita made landfall just east of the Texas/Louisiana border early Saturday morning, September 24th.
- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Texas, September 12 to 14, 2008The eye of Hurricane Ike moved ashore in Galveston County near the city of Galveston.
- Heat in Texas, July 1 to 31, 1998A prolonged excessive heat event continued across north Texas in July. This heat wave was the result of existing drought conditions combined with a persistent upper level ridge of high pressure.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 13 to 19, 2021A historic winter storm, that began on February 9th, 2021, continued to cripple the region through February 19th. One wave of winter precipitation moved across the region February 13-15th, with another round of snow and ice on February 16-17th.

- Tornadoes in Texas, May 27, 1997Several eyewitnesses reported that the Jarrell tornado was preceded for a period of 8 to 10 minutes by a series of short-lived very small tornadoes that formed from the same supercell thunderstorm.

- Flash Flooding in Texas, October 17 to 19, 1998The Great October FloodIn advance of a very slow-moving upper level trough of low pressure over West Texas, a cold front drifted slowly southeastward into West Central Texas during the evening of Friday, October 16th.
- Tropical Storm in Texas, June 5 to 10, 2001Tropical Storm Allison formed in the northwest Gulf of Mexico during the early afternoon of June 5th, 80 miles south of Galveston. Allison moved northward, making landfall on the west end of Galveston Island between midnight and 1am on the 6th, less than 12 hours after forming.

- Tropical Storm and Storm Surge in Texas, August 26 to 31, 2017Harvey moved across the Gulf of Mexico into the central Texas Coast during the last week of August. After the initial landfall, the cyclone moved back into the gulf a couple days later and then made another landfall in Southwest Louisiana during the morning of the 30th.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 13 to 15, 2021A series of weather systems brought several rounds of winter weather to South Central Texas from February 11 through February 18.
- Heat in Texas, July 6 to 23, 2000Excessive heat impacted southeast Texas for much of the month of July. High temperatures ranged from 98 to 105 degrees on a daily basis over all but the immediate coast during a 2 week period.

- Heat in Texas, July 1 to 31, 2011Triple digit daytime temperatures and warm overnight lows gripped nearly all of north Texas for the entire month of July. A few records for daily high temperatures were set or tied, but several records for highest minimum temperatures were set.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Texas, August 1 to 14, 2023The hot summer continued into August, with temperatures reaching at least Heat Advisory criteria area-wide for the first half of the month.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, May 23 to 24, 2015An upper level shortwave trough moved around the longwave low over the Four Corners region. This upper distubance interacted with a surface boundary moving northward as a warm front from South Texas into a very moist airmass.
- Excessive Heat in Texas, August 1 to 6, 2011Brutal triple digit daytime temperatures and warm overnight lows continued to occur across north Texas through the month of August. Only 3 scattered days provided relief from the record-setting heat.
