- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, December 5 to 6, 2013A winter storm affected much of North and Central Texas for an extended period from December 5th through the 10th. A combination of freezing rain, sleet, and a little snow began falling during the day on the 5th and continued through the morning hours of the 6th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, February 9 to 11, 2021February 9th, 2021 was the beginning of what would become a historic winter weather event across the state of Texas, with multiple rounds of winter precipitation and deadly cold temperatures.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 27 to 28, 2009A shallow arctic airmass moved over north Texas as an upper level storm system moved in from the west. Periods of rain, freezing rain, and sleet occurred resulting in thousands of traffic accidents and numerous power outages.
- Blizzard and Ice Storm in Texas, December 28 to 31, 2006A strong and vigorous upper low moved across the Rockies and produced heavy snow and blizzard conditions along with freezing rain to the western and central Texas panhandle.
- Flash Flooding and Ice Storm in Texas, January 13 to 16, 2007Cold air in place in combination with ample moisture and an upper level disturbance caused a mix of freezing rain and rain to fall across North Texas. Dozens of winter weather and flash flood incidents were reported with this event.
- Ice Storm in Texas, December 22 to 24, 1998A strong arctic cold front moved through North Texas on the 21st, bringing freezing temperatures to all of North Texas by the morning of the 22nd. Southwest winds aloft produced overrunning conditions, resulting in cloudy skies and a mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 12 to 14, 2007A bitterly cold arctic air mass moved into the South Plains region of west Texas during the daytime hours on the 12th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, February 1 to 4, 2011The first week of February 2011 was plagued with two winter weather events and persistent cold temperatures. The first winter storm began late on January 31st and ended during the morning hours of February 1st.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 30 to 31, 2023Several consecutive days of wintry precipitation occurred from late January through early February. Temperatures tumbled 30-40 degrees behind an arctic cold front from the 28th into the 29th.
- Blizzard and Ice Storm in Texas, December 26 to 28, 2015Following a mild Christmas, a strong cold front arrived early on the morning of the 26th ahead of temperatures falling to freezing territory throughout the course of the afternoon all in advance of a slow-moving upper low in the Desert Southwest and far north-central Mexico.
- Ice Storm in Texas, January 12 to 13, 1997Freezing rain/sleet event occured on the 12th-13th. Trees, powerlines and roadways were all effected. The weight of the ice caused trees and powerlines to snap/fall. Glazed roadways posed hazardous driving conditions.
- Ice Storm in Texas, November 26 to 28, 2015A cold front moved through the Texas Panhandle on the night of the 25th resulting in a layer of shallow cold air across the area on the 26th. A strong storm system approached from the west bringing moisture and relatively warm air atop the cold shallow layer.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, March 4 to 5, 2015A potent winter storm produced several rounds of winter weather on the 4th and 5th of March. Up to 4 inches of snow were reported in some areas of north Texas, along with a batch of sleet and freezing rain before the snow.
- Ice Storm in Texas, January 12 to 14, 1997A record ice storm paralyzed southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. Around 90,000 electric customers across southeast Texas were without power for up to six days. Emergency shelters were opended for several nights due to the cold weather following the ice storm.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, January 16 to 17, 2007Cold air at the surface combined with shortwave energy aloft brought another round of winter weather to much of North Texas.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, October 25 to 28, 2020A significant ice storm affected most of the Rolling Plains along with significant accumulations of ice and snow on the South Plains over a four-day period from the 25th through the 28th. Unseasonably warm temperatures preceded this event.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, February 3 to 4, 2011A very cold air mass was in place in early February with overnight lows in the teens and 20s.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, November 22 to 24, 2013Periods of freezing rain and sleet fell across West Central Texas from the morning of November 22 through the early morning hours of November 25. Periods of freezing rain and sleet, made parts of U.S.
- Ice Storm in Texas, February 3 to 4, 2011South Texas experienced frigid temperatures and prolonged hard freezes between Tuesday morning February 1st and Saturday morning February 5th, 2011. A large dome of arctic air plunged southward across South Texas on Tuesday morning February 1st behind a strong cold front.
- Ice Storm in Texas, November 26 to 28, 2015Following a sharp cold front which ignited a few strong thunderstorms during the late afternoon hours on Thanksgiving Day, brisk northerly winds and freezing temperatures overspread the region and remained in place for nearly 48 hours.
- Ice Storm in Texas, December 12 to 13, 2000An artic airmass spilled southward out of the central plains and into the lower Mississippi Valley. This cold surface airmass was overrun by a warm and humid airmass which combined with a strong upper level storm system across west Texas. The result was widespread freezing rain.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, January 24 to 26, 2026A deep upper-level low moved across northern Mexico bringing a strong cold front through South-Central Texas. This resulted in very cold air in the boundary layer with a layer of above freezing air aloft which produced sleet and freezing rain.
- Ice Storm in Texas, January 12 to 15, 2007An arctic cold front moved through West Central Texas on Friday the 12th. Light freezing rain and drizzle developed behind the front as temperatures quickly dropped to below freezing.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, December 20 to 21, 2013In advance of an upper low in the Desert Southwest, a very rich feed of subtropical and Gulf moisture overspread much of west and northwest Texas by the afternoon of the 20th resulting in a widespread rain event.
- Ice Storm and Cold in Texas, January 14 to 17, 2024Surge of arctic air plunged into South Texas during the evening hours of Jan 14th to the early morning hours of Jan 15th, dropping temperatures below freezing overnight (21-30 F).
