- Wildfire and Dust Devil in Texas, April 16 to 17, 2008Very windy conditions combined with an extremely dry airmass to promote weather favorable for wildfire development over much of the west Texas South Plains during the late afternoon hours on the 16th.
- Dust Devil in Texas, May 13, 2003A dust devil in Canyon did structural damage to Doche Cleaners on 23rd Street in Canyon during the early eveing hours. The dust devil blew off the roof of the local business into an empty eastside parking lot and causing other structural damage to the building.
- Dust Devil in Texas, April 3, 2008A dust devil which developed during the early afternoon hours caused some damage to the Clements Unit in eastern Amarillo. No injuries were reported.
- Flash Flood and Hail in Texas, June 7, 2018During the morning of the seventh, a mesoscale convective system moving across Oklahoma reinforced pre-existing outflow boundaries in the Rolling Plains and eastern South Plains.
- Dust Devil in Texas, April 7, 2011A dust devil resulted in a brief severe wind gust of 59 mph that was recorded by the Texas Tech University West Texas Mesonet site near Abernathy (Hale County) just before 13:25 CST on the 7th.
- Dust Devil in Texas, April 11, 2016A large dust devil near Idalou (Lubbock County) was captured on video relayed by broadcast media. The dust devil formed along a surface boundary and remained in open field for the duration.
- Dust Devil in Texas, May 9, 2022A dust devil directly impacted a Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet site near Wolfforth. The mesonet site measured a one minute wind gust of 58 mph at 1100 CST.
- Dust Devil in Texas, April 29, 2022On the afternoon of the 29th, a dust devil directly impacted the Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet near Ralls (Crosby County). A wind gust to 61 mph was reported by the mesonet at the time of occurrence.
- Dust Devil in Texas, June 13, 2022Hot temperatures and drought conditions led to numerous dust devils across the region early in the the summer of 2022. Clear skies, dry conditions and 100 degree heat provided a day conducive to dust devils in the area.
