- Blizzard and Ice Storm in Texas, December 28 to 31, 2006A strong and vigorous upper low moved across the Rockies and produced heavy snow and blizzard conditions along with freezing rain to the western and central Texas panhandle.

- Blizzard in Texas, December 24, 2009A powerful winter storm developed over parts of the Southern Plains, resulting in one of the most widespread and damaging blizzards to affect western north Texas in decades.
