- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, December 5 to 6, 2013A winter storm affected much of North and Central Texas for an extended period from December 5th through the 10th. A combination of freezing rain, sleet, and a little snow began falling during the day on the 5th and continued through the morning hours of the 6th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, February 9 to 11, 2021February 9th, 2021 was the beginning of what would become a historic winter weather event across the state of Texas, with multiple rounds of winter precipitation and deadly cold temperatures.
- Winter Weather in Texas, December 22, 2007One to two inches of snow combined with strong winds to create white out conditions east of Amarillo and also near Pampa. The snow and blowing snow contributed to a major vehicular accident on Interstate 40 near the intersection of U.S.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 27 to 28, 2009A shallow arctic airmass moved over north Texas as an upper level storm system moved in from the west. Periods of rain, freezing rain, and sleet occurred resulting in thousands of traffic accidents and numerous power outages.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, December 24, 2009A powerful upper level system dipped into north Texas bringing near blizzard conditions to the northwest portions of north Texas. Wind gusts up to 50 mph were reported during the afternoon hours across much of the western half of north Texas.
- Winter Weather in Texas, December 17 to 20, 2005A cold and moist airmass across the Texas panhandle resulted in an extended period of light freezing rain and freezing drizzle and dangerous driving conditions.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 12 to 14, 2007A bitterly cold arctic air mass moved into the South Plains region of west Texas during the daytime hours on the 12th.
- Winter Weather in Texas, December 15 to 16, 2008Warm moist air overran a layer of sub-freezing air at the surface, causing freezing drizzle to spread across north Texas. Dozens of wrecks were reported Tuesday as the freezing drizzle coated roads and bridges and temperatures remained below freezing throughout the day.
- Winter Weather in Texas, January 13, 2015Freezing temperatures and a brief period of freezing rain caused patchy ice to form on area bridges and roads during the morning hours. This resulted in two fatalities near Barnhart.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 30 to 31, 2023Several consecutive days of wintry precipitation occurred from late January through early February. Temperatures tumbled 30-40 degrees behind an arctic cold front from the 28th into the 29th.
- Winter Weather in Texas, November 21 to 23, 2013A very strong cold front dove through the Texas Panhandle during the day of the 21st. The cold airmass behind the front was fairly shallow with the lowest five to six thousand feet reaching temperatures below freezing.
- Winter Weather in Texas, February 10 to 11, 2014Freezing drizzle resulted in icy road conditions across the DFW Metroplex. Three people in the region died.
- Winter Weather in Texas, April 2 to 3, 2013During the early morning hours of the 2nd, patchy drizzle developed across the Texas Panhandle. With at or slightly below freezing surface temperatures the drizzle froze on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
- Winter Storm and Cold in Texas, January 30 to 31, 2023Warm/moist air rising above a sub-freezing arctic airmass generated freezing rain and sleet across much of North and Central Texas during the last few days of January through February 2nd.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 1 to 4, 2011A winter storm impacted west Texas during the pre-dawn hours of the 1st, and marked the onset of a prolonged outbreak of arctic air in the Southern Plains.
- Winter Weather in Texas, December 26 to 28, 2017Light freezing rain, sleet and freezing drizzle resulted in a few fatalities across West Central Texas on the morning of December 27. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, roadways became icy across the western half of the region mainly along and west of U.S.
- Winter Weather in Texas, January 7, 2010As a cold front moved across North Texas, a short period of freezing drizzle and light freezing rain along the cold front caused icy roads in parts of north Texas. The icy roads were enough to cause numerous accidents; affecting the early morning commute.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 2 to 3, 2015A cold air mass in place, increasing moisture, and the approach of a storm system set the stage for a relatively significant winter weather episode across the Texas Panhandle.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Texas, November 16, 2014Following maximum temperatures in the 60s and 70s on the 15th, a strong cold front and upper trough brought a wintry blast to the entire South Plains region by the morning of the 16th.
- Winter Weather in Texas, January 2 to 3, 2019Light freezing drizzle and light freezing rain started in West Central Texas mainly around midnight on January 2nd, and continued off and on through the morning of January 3.
- Winter Weather in Texas, February 11, 2014As an arctic cold airmass settled over the area, widespread light freezing drizzle developed and resulted in a thin glaze of ice on roads and walkways across a large part of West Central Texas throughout the morning.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, March 4 to 5, 2015A potent winter storm produced several rounds of winter weather on the 4th and 5th of March. Up to 4 inches of snow were reported in some areas of north Texas, along with a batch of sleet and freezing rain before the snow.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, January 16 to 17, 2007Cold air at the surface combined with shortwave energy aloft brought another round of winter weather to much of North Texas.
- Winter Weather in Texas, January 31, 2008Two to three inches of snow and windy conditions created areas of near zero visibilities in blowing snow...which resulted in a forty-two car accident on Interstate 40. The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes just west of Whitaker Road at 0542 CST.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Texas, March 20 to 21, 2010The last snow event of the memorable winter season of 2009-2010 occurred on the night of March 20th. The highest storm total snowfall was 8 inches in Collin County where a narrow band of heavy snow persisted through much of the night.
