- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 13 to 19, 2021A historic winter storm, that began on February 9th, 2021, continued to cripple the region through February 19th. One wave of winter precipitation moved across the region February 13-15th, with another round of snow and ice on February 16-17th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, December 5 to 6, 2013A winter storm affected much of North and Central Texas for an extended period from December 5th through the 10th. A combination of freezing rain, sleet, and a little snow began falling during the day on the 5th and continued through the morning hours of the 6th.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 13 to 15, 2021A series of weather systems brought several rounds of winter weather to South Central Texas from February 11 through February 18.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, January 23 to 28, 2026The only winter weather event of the season occurred January 23-25. A mix of sleet and snow fell across the region, but sleet was the predominant precipitation type.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, December 24, 2009A powerful upper level system dipped into north Texas bringing near blizzard conditions to the northwest portions of north Texas. Wind gusts up to 50 mph were reported during the afternoon hours across much of the western half of north Texas.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, February 1 to 4, 2011The first week of February 2011 was plagued with two winter weather events and persistent cold temperatures. The first winter storm began late on January 31st and ended during the morning hours of February 1st.
- Winter Storm in Texas, November 29 to 30, 2006A strong upper level system and associated Arctic cold front created conditions favorable for the production of freezing rain, sleet, and snow over much of North Texas.
- Winter Storm in Texas, January 25 to 28, 2000An arctic cold front moved through North Texas on January 24th, bringing much colder weather to the region.
- Winter Storm and Cold in Texas, January 30 to 31, 2023Warm/moist air rising above a sub-freezing arctic airmass generated freezing rain and sleet across much of North and Central Texas during the last few days of January through February 2nd.
- Winter Storm in Texas, February 2 to 3, 2022An arctic cold front ushered sub-freezing temperatures into the region while an upper level storm system generated widespread precipitation, leading to a winter storm across North and Central Texas during the first week of February 2022.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, February 1 to 4, 2011A winter storm impacted west Texas during the pre-dawn hours of the 1st, and marked the onset of a prolonged outbreak of arctic air in the Southern Plains.
- Blizzard and Ice Storm in Texas, December 26 to 28, 2015Following a mild Christmas, a strong cold front arrived early on the morning of the 26th ahead of temperatures falling to freezing territory throughout the course of the afternoon all in advance of a slow-moving upper low in the Desert Southwest and far north-central Mexico.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 2 to 3, 2015A cold air mass in place, increasing moisture, and the approach of a storm system set the stage for a relatively significant winter weather episode across the Texas Panhandle.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, March 4 to 5, 2015A potent winter storm produced several rounds of winter weather on the 4th and 5th of March. Up to 4 inches of snow were reported in some areas of north Texas, along with a batch of sleet and freezing rain before the snow.
- Winter Storm in Texas, January 3, 2019As an upper level low pressure system was moving east across Oklahoma during the day on the 3rd, the system tapped into gulf moisture and wrapped it northwest toward the back side of the system.
- Winter Storm in Texas, January 6 to 7, 1997A major winter storm brought relatively heavy snow to Far West Texas. By more northerly standards, the 3 to 6 inches of snow that fell was not great however it produced significant problems for the local area.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, January 16 to 17, 2007Cold air at the surface combined with shortwave energy aloft brought another round of winter weather to much of North Texas.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, January 16 to 17, 2018A significant cold front moved through North and Central Texas over the MLK Jr. Holiday weekend. This brought cold air into the region, along with several areas of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
- Winter Storm in Texas, February 3 to 4, 2011An arctic cold front pushed across South Central Texas early on February 1. An upper level storm system moved east across Texas during the early morning hours of February 4.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Texas, January 20 to 21, 2025A major winter storm impacted southern United States across the Gulf coast, producing what would go on to be historic levels of snowfall in some areas over Southeast Texas.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, March 2 to 3, 2002A strong arctic cold front began moving into North Texas late night on March 1st, and through all of North Texas by mid morning on March 2nd. Light rain developed behind the front, and changed to a mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow as temperatures fell below freezing.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, October 25 to 28, 2020A significant ice storm affected most of the Rolling Plains along with significant accumulations of ice and snow on the South Plains over a four-day period from the 25th through the 28th. Unseasonably warm temperatures preceded this event.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Texas, February 3 to 4, 2011A very cold air mass was in place in early February with overnight lows in the teens and 20s.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Texas, January 24 to 26, 2026A winter storm brought ice, sleet and extreme cold to southeast Texas from the 24th through the 26th.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in Texas, December 23 to 24, 2009A major winter storm brought blizzard conditions and widespread significant snow accumulations to the South Plains region of west Texas on Christmas Eve. The remnant snow pack resulted in a subsequent and rare White Christmas for much of west Texas.
