- Flash Flooding in Texas, October 17 to 19, 1998The Great October FloodIn advance of a very slow-moving upper level trough of low pressure over West Texas, a cold front drifted slowly southeastward into West Central Texas during the evening of Friday, October 16th.
- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Texas, September 12 to 14, 2008The eye of Hurricane Ike moved ashore in Galveston County near the city of Galveston.
- Flash Flooding in Texas, July 4, 2025Tropical Storm Barry moved into and dissipated over eastern Mexico. Moist air from the remnants of Barry moved northward into Texas. Precipitable water values over South-Central Texas increased to near record levels.
- Tornadoes and Tropical Storm in Texas, August 25 to 31, 2017Harvey made landfall as a category 4 hurricane near Rockport, Texas during the evening of August 25th.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, December 26 to 28, 2015A potent storm system brought deadly tornadoes and severe weather to North Texas on the 26th followed by waves of heavy rainfall that resulted in significant flooding across parts of North and Central Texas.
- Tropical Storm and Storm Surge in Texas, August 26 to 31, 2017Harvey moved across the Gulf of Mexico into the central Texas Coast during the last week of August. After the initial landfall, the cyclone moved back into the gulf a couple days later and then made another landfall in Southwest Louisiana during the morning of the 30th.
- Flash Flooding in Texas, August 23 to 24, 1998By nightfall on the 23rd, the central low pressure associated with the remainder of Charley had indeed stalled near Del Rio. A second seige of devastating rain fell between 9 pm and 2 am, producing over 10 inches by midnight.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, May 23 to 24, 2015An upper level shortwave trough moved around the longwave low over the Four Corners region. This upper distubance interacted with a surface boundary moving northward as a warm front from South Texas into a very moist airmass.
- Flash Flooding in Texas, June 21 to 22, 1997The heavy rain Friday night into Saturday afternoon had left South Central Texas soils saturated. The situation worsened Saturday evening into Sunday as heavy rain associated with the upper low pressure system redeveloped over the western Texas Hill Country.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, June 11 to 12, 2025A mid-level shortwave trough moved over Texas and combined with an abnormally moist airmass to generate thunderstorms. These storms were very efficient rain producers dropping locally heavy rain that led to flash flooding. There were also a few severe thunderstorms.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flood in Texas, May 25 to 26, 2024Another round of dryline-induced convection took place the night of May 25 as a shortwave trough moved overhead. Thunderstorms were more isolated in nature, but one ambitious supercell produced multiple tornadoes the evening of May 25th.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, May 16, 2024On the evening of May 16, a derecho moved into SE TX. This resulted in extensive wind damage across much of the Greater Houston area, including much of Downtown Houston. Maximum wind gusts were estimated to have reached over 100 mph.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Texas, June 1 to 3, 2016An upper level low pressure center moved eastward into Central Texas late Wednesday June 1 and Thursday June 2, meandered over the area Friday June 3, then dropped southward to South Texas on Saturday June 4.
- Flash Flooding and Hail in Texas, May 25 to 26, 2015Across already very saturated grounds, a slow moving line of thunderstorms moved into Harris County from central Texas during the evening hours of the 25th.

- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Texas, October 30 to 31, 2015A warm front combined with an upper level trough and deep moisture produced heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms across much of South Central Texas on October 30th and 31st. Damage surveys confirmed four tornadoes.
