- Hail and Damaging Winds in Idaho, June 1, 2015Much of southeast Idaho received severe thunderstorm winds and large hail on June 1st including a boating accident on Bear Lake with 4 fatalities from the severe thunderstorm winds capsizing a boat.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Idaho, April 22, 1986
- Avalanche in Idaho, January 7, 2020On the morning of January 7th an avalanche occurred at the Silver Mountain Ski Resort near Kellogg, Idaho. Three skiers died and two others were fully buried but were pulled alive from the snow.
- Damaging Winds in Idaho, May 1, 2021The month of May started with a bang as a low pressure system moved through the Intermountain West, producing thunderstorms with severe winds, dust storms and small hail.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Idaho, January 13 to 14, 2021A strong cold front moved through northern Idaho on the morning of January 13th. With this front, severe winds swept through the Idaho Panhandle bringing widespread damage, fallen trees, and power outages.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Idaho, December 24 to 25, 2014A strong storm system brought significant snowfall and difficult travel conditions to all of southeast Idaho over the Christmas holiday. Several traffic accidents occurred with two fatalities occurring on interstate 15 just south of Pocatello.
- Heavy Snow in Idaho, April 15 to 16, 2002One day after thunderstorm winds caused extensive damage in southeast Idaho, a mid-April snowstorm dumped heavy wet snow over the same region. It was the heaviest snow of the season in the Snake River Plain.
- Wildfire in Idaho, June 29 to 30, 2025No significant weather event occurred for the North Idaho Panhandle. A few small wildfires were started. One fire was intentionally set by an individual that ambushed first responders. He fatally shot two.

- Avalanche in Idaho, January 3, 1998During the first week of January, dangerous avalanche conditions prevailed in the mountainous regions of central and eastern Idaho. On January 3rd one avalanche killed a snowmobiler near Island Park.
- Winter Storm in Idaho, February 7 to 8, 2002A strong frontal system brought a variety of winter weather to all of southeastern Idaho including heavy snow and strong winds. The storm produced some heavy snowfall in the mountains with 6 to 12 inches reported by SNOTEL sites.
- Avalanche in Idaho, February 22, 2003After a night of new snowfall and warming daytime temperatures, two separate avalanches occurred just an hour and a half apart and within 20 miles of each other. The first event took place around 11:30 am near Keokee Lake about 10 miles northwest of Schweitzer Ski Resort.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 22, 2003Two fire fighters were killed on the Cramer Fire, 17 miles west of Shoup in western Lemhi County. Several days of hot and dry conditions caused the Cramer Fire to expand rapidly.
- Avalanche in Idaho, January 2, 2004The Avalanche was located about 10 miles north of Fairfield and 1 mile south of the Soldier Mountain Ski Resort. The snow slide was 500 to 700 feet long.
- Heavy Snow in Idaho, November 27, 2004Widespread snow of generally between 2 and 5 inches fell in the Snake River Plain in the first significant snowfall of the season.
- Heavy Snow in Idaho, January 15 to 18, 2005A large, and rather moist storm system moved up from the southwest from the tropics. This storm system dropped heavy snow to northern and central Idaho before raising snow levels to over 7000 feet by the evening of the 18th.
- Avalanche in Idaho, March 30, 2010Two Washington state men died in an avalanche while snowmobiling about 17 miles north of McCall, Idaho. The size of the avalanche was estimated to be between 5 and 6 acres.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, February 2 to 3, 2014A pair of shortwaves diving south from Canada dropped into the Inland Northwest between the second and third of February. The first wave generated light to moderate snow across the Idaho Panhandle driven by warm advection processes.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, December 1, 2014A warm front moving through the Great Basin spread snow and pockets of freezing rain across parts of Southwest Idaho and Southeast Oregon making roads slick and hazardous. Numerous accidents were reported including 3 fatalities.
- Strong Wind in Idaho, August 3, 2016A 37 year old woman and her 11 year daughter died in accidents near Fish Haven on Bear Lake. Winds allegedly played a factor in causing flotation devices to drift from shore. Highest recorded wind speeds at the Bear Lake airport near the time of accident were 29 mph.
- Avalanche in Idaho, December 17, 2021An avalanche near Driggs and Relay Ridge killed two teenage boys at around 2:45 PM on December 17th. It was in a backcountry area with one snow mobiler and one skier killed in the avalanche.
- Hail in Idaho, November 5, 2023Just before 3 pm a pickup truck crashed into a semi tractor trailer and both individuals in the pickup truck died due to the accident. One individual in the semi was airlifted to a local hospital. The accident occurred 1 mile south of Macks Inn on US Highway 20.
- Flooding in Idaho, May 1 to 31, 2017Winter snow melt continued from record winter snowfall and flooding continued throughout much of May in much of southeast Idaho especially in the central mountains and along the Big Wood River.
- Wildfire in Idaho, August 10 to 31, 2015The Clearwater-Municipal consists of a group of fires in Clearwater, Idaho and Lewis Counties in northern Idaho. The fires, started by lightning, have been burning since approximately 1:15 pm on August 10th.
