- Heat in Idaho, June 18, 2013A 21 month old girl was left in an automobile on June 18th and led to an accidental death due to heat related causes.
- Heat in Idaho, July 10 to 15, 2002A heat wave encompassed all of southeastern Idaho from July 10th through the 15th. Several records were set.
- Heat in Idaho, July 1 to 31, 2003Very hot and dry weather covered all of southeast Idaho during the month of July. It was the 8th warmest July ever recorded at the Pocatello airport and the average high temperature for the month of 94.6 degrees was the warmest ever for the city.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Idaho, July 18 to 24, 2024The second heatwave that occurred was the hottest of the two heatwaves that occurred in July of 2024.
- Heat in Idaho, June 27 to 30, 2013From June 27th through June 30th 10 record high temperatures were set at Idaho Falls, Challis, Pocatello, Burley and Stanley.

- Excessive Heat and Heat in Idaho, July 8 to 14, 2024There were two heatwaves that occurred in July of 2024. The first heatwave occurred during the second week of July.
- Heat in Idaho, July 29 to 31, 2022A very strong ridge of high pressure settled over the Colombia River basin bringing hot daytime temperatures and warm overnight lows. The consecutive days of heat made it difficult to cool locations without air conditioning.
- Heat in Idaho, August 1 to 3, 2024A persistent ridge of high pressure resulted in major to extreme heat risk in the lower Salmon and lower Clearwater River valleys.
