- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, February 2 to 3, 2014A pair of shortwaves diving south from Canada dropped into the Inland Northwest between the second and third of February. The first wave generated light to moderate snow across the Idaho Panhandle driven by warm advection processes.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, December 1, 2014A warm front moving through the Great Basin spread snow and pockets of freezing rain across parts of Southwest Idaho and Southeast Oregon making roads slick and hazardous. Numerous accidents were reported including 3 fatalities.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Idaho, April 10 to 13, 2022A very long period of extremely cold conditions for mid April and a continual push of Pacific moisture led to heavy mountain snowfall with snow levels down to valley floors. Interstate pile ups and a snow related fatal airplane crash all occuured during this period.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Idaho, December 14 to 16, 2009A strong warm front brought heavy snow to portions of North Idaho. Behind the warm front, shallow cold air remained in the valleys which resulted in a mixed bag of snow, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle with minor ice accumulations reported.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, December 1 to 4, 2023An extended period of off and on snow for the first 4 days of December caused travel problems and widespread heavy snow.
- High Wind and Winter Weather in Idaho, December 21 to 22, 2020A new winter system moved into the Idaho Panhandle as a trough dropped into the Pacific Northwest on December 21st. With the accompanying atmospheric river, this system had substantial moisture with it bringing a wet and windy day ahead.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, January 20 to 21, 2012Subtropical moisture moving into the region ahead of a strong warm front clashed with modified arctic air in the lower-levels. This resulted in a complexity of precipitation types with a mix of light snow and freezing rain experienced across northern areas of the Idaho Panhandle.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, November 12, 2012Moist isentropic ascent ahead of an occluded front pushing into the region off of the eastern Pacific clashed with cold continental air established over the area.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, November 13 to 15, 2020A moist Pacific storm brought very heavy snow to high elevations of southeast Idaho with many mountain locations receiving over a foot of snow. Low elevations of the Wood River Valley also received heavy snow. Road closures occurred in the Upper Snake Highlands.
- Avalanche and Heavy Snow in Idaho, January 27 to 30, 2021A very strong atmospheric river event brought very heavy snow to the southeast Idaho mountains and the Sun Valley region. Amounts of over 2 feet of snow were very common in the drawn out event.

- Winter Weather in Idaho, December 20, 2015A fatality occurred on the evening of December 20th on interstate 15 northbound just north of the Shelley exit during a light snowfall which caused icy road conditions.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, October 29, 2009A low pressure system spread areas of light freezing rain across parts of Idaho leading to numerous accidents on local roads.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, November 7, 2018Light snow produced snow and slush covered roads and was declared a contributing factor to a motor home rollover resulting in the death of a 78 year old man at 1:53 pm MST near milepost 178 south of Spencer on southbound interstate 15.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, March 1, 2023Heavy snow loading collapsed a detached garage in Preston as well as collapsing a roof at the Blue Moon Bar and Grill on South East 1st Street in Lava Hot Springs.

- Winter Weather in Idaho, November 5, 2015A fatal accident occurred on Highway 20 14 miles north of Ashton due to snow and ice on the roadway. A man driving westbound near milepost 375 slid into oncoming traffic.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, February 21, 2019Icy roads may have been a factor in a fatal auto accident on State Highway 33 at milepost 49 east of Terreton. A 25 year old man was killed when it slid into the opposing lane into a semi pulling two flatbed trailers.
- Winter Weather in Idaho, January 11 to 16, 2024The Arctic Front brought very frigid air behind it for January 11 through 16. The Panhandle had several days of single digit highs and negative teen lows. It caused damage to several buildings due to pipes bursting.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Idaho, October 13 to 14, 2017An early season snowfall of wet heavy snow dropped widespread reports of 6 to 8 inches of snow in Idaho Falls. Power lines, trees and tree limbs were downed due to the heavy and wet nature of the snow.
- Winter Storm and High Wind in Idaho, December 20, 2016A robust shortwave brought heavy mountain snow, mixed precipitation and strong gusty winds. Cold surface temperatures contributed to icy conditions in valley locations.
- Winter Storm and Flood in Idaho, March 11 to 14, 2026An intense and prolonged atmospheric river (AR) impacted the Northern Rockies, directed primarily at North-Central Idaho. This event was characterized by a deep moisture plume and an unseasonably warm air mass, which transitioned mountain snow to a heavy rain-on-snow event.

- High Wind and Winter Weather in Idaho, March 21 to 23, 2025A strong late winter storm brought light snow, wind and led to impacts with road closures and the cancelation of a major sporting event.
