- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Florida, September 28, 2022Hurricane Ian formed in the central Caribbean Sea on September 23 and moved through the western Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Western Atlantic making four separate landfalls.
- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Florida, October 10, 2018Hurricane Michael started as typical weak October Caribbean tropical system. However, after approximately a week of slow development, the system moved into warm Gulf of Mexico waters and rapidly intensified into a major hurricane as it moved north towards the Florida Panhandle.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Florida, February 22 to 23, 1998The first tornado in a major tornado outbreak set down along Route 92 about 5 miles southwest of Daytona Beach.
- Hurricane and Tornadoes in Florida, September 9 to 14, 2017Major Hurricane Irma made landfall in Southwest Florida on Marco Island as a Category 3 hurricane around 330 PM EDT on September 10th. The storm traveled north through southwest Florida through the evening.

- Hurricane and Tornado in Florida, September 27 to 30, 2022After making landfall as a major hurricane in southwest Florida near Cayo Costa, Ian crossed the peninsula and into east central Florida (southern Osceola County) as a Category 1 Hurricane with estimated maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.

Ian moved westward, then turned northwest on September 25th, passing just west of Jamaica and near the Cayman Islands.

- Wildfire in Florida, January 29, 2012A 62 acre wildfire developed in Paines Prairie which is bisected by Interstate 75 south of Gainesville. The Prairie is also close to Highway 441, which runs south of Gainesville as well.

- Tornadoes in Florida, June 18, 1972As Hurricane Agnes moved northward, approximately 200 miles west of the Florida peninsula, numerous tornadoes occurred across south and central Florida, many of which were strong (F2 and F3), resulting in numerous casualties and considerable property damage.
- Rip Currents in Florida, June 21 to 24, 2023Persistent moderate onshore flow led to numerous rip currents for a multi-day period. The strongest rip current occurred between June 15-24 where unfortunately several fatalities occurred.
- Hurricane in Florida, August 25 to 26, 2005A tropical wave that moved across the Atlantic from near the west coast of Africa eventually spawned the tropical cyclone that became hurricane Katrina. The tropical wave became a tropical depression near the central Bahamas late on August 22.
- Hurricane in Florida, September 15 to 16, 2004Hurricane Ivan made landfall near Gulf Shores, AL, during the predawn hours of September 16. Maximum sustained winds reached 50 knots, with gusts to 62 knots at Buoy 42039, 80 miles south of Panama City, FL. The lowest sea-level pressure was 999.6 mb at Panama City.
- Tornadoes and Tropical Storm in Florida, June 24 to 30, 2012Tropical Storm Debby lingered for several days over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico and caused high winds and heavy rain before making landfall near Steinhatchee, FL on the 26th.
- Rip Current in Florida, June 8, 2003At least 28 people were rescued from rough surf off the Walton County beaches. Six persons drowned. Reported by the Walton County EMA.
- Tornadoes and Tropical Storm in Florida, August 21 to 23, 2008Tropical Storm Fay moved slowly north out of Caribbean Sea, then cut across south and central Florida into the Atlantic Ocean. Fay then slowly curved west and made landfall in the vicinity for Flagler Beach and Daytona Beach on Aug 21st.
