- Lightning Strikes in Florida, September 2, 2013A moist and unstable airmass produced scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Florida, April 25 to 27, 2023A strong spring storm system moved through the area with ample instability and shear for severe weather. Numerous reports of severe weather were received across the tri-state area.
- Tornadoes and Damaging Winds in Florida, March 7, 2008A brief, but extensive severe weather episode occurred across the Florida Big Bend during the morning of March 7, 2008. There were widespread reports of straight line wind damage across the area, with two confirmed tornadoes reported by NWS survey teams.
- Tornadoes and Flooding in Florida, January 20 to 21, 2010A strong storm system tracked across the deep south while the mid and upper level low moved over the Mississippi River Valley. A surface low developed over south Georgia in the afternoon, and a trailing squall line moved across the area in the afternoon and evening.

One particular persistent, mini-supercell produced three tornadoes as it traveled north from Okeechobee to Brevard County.

This cell then back-built south-southwest along a boundary during the late afternoon, producing a complex of strong to severe cells farther inland.

- Tornado and Hail in Florida, April 28, 2011On April 27th, a historic tornado outbreak occurred across portions of central and northern Alabama and extended into central and northern Georgia. The remnants of this systems moved across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend on April 28th in a weakened state.

Strong effective shear combined with marginal surface-based instability near the lifting warm front and surface low enabled rotating mini-supercells to form.

This event was forced by unseasonably strong wind fields associated with a potent extra-tropical cyclone that was formerly Tropical Storm Lee.
- Tornado and Damaging Winds in Florida, June 1, 1997Lightning caused a fire that completely destroyed a large house in Vero Beach. Damage was estimated at 1 million dollars.
- Damaging Winds in Florida, January 25, 2011A solid squall line, ahead of a cold front, crossed east central Florida from late afternoon to mid evening. Ahead of the squall line, several supercell thunderstorms formed within the warm sector.
- Flash Flood and Damaging Winds in Florida, June 28, 2009Evening thunderstorms on the 28th brought damaging winds, flash flooding and funnel clouds to portions of the Florida Big Bend. Lightning was blamed for a few house fires in Leon County.
