- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 5, 2001A freeze occurred throughout the interior sections of south Florida, causing damage to certain crops. Hardest hit were certain vegetable crops with 75% losses in Hendry and east Collier counties and 30% losses in the farming areas of south Miami-Dade county.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Florida, January 21 to 22, 2025A historic winter storm affected the tri-state area during mid January. A shortwave embedded within a larger 500mb trough dove south over Utah before sharpening and moving over the Four Corners region on the 20th.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 27, 2001An elderly homeless man died of hypothermia in Tallahassee where the overnight low temperature was 24 degrees. His body was discovered near a shopping center on Apalachee Parkway early Thursday morning. Reported by the Tallahassee Democrat.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 24, 200367 year old woman found dead of hypothermia outdoors at 8131 NW 115th Ave, Ocala, Florida. Apparently she fell and could not get up, body was found Friday morning, Jan 24th. Report from Florida Dept. of Emergency Management State Warning Point.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 22, 2009A homeless man died from hypothermia while sleeping outside at a campsite in Tallahassee early on the morning of the 22nd when temperatures were in the upper teens.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 23 to 24, 2003A strong cold front ushered in cold temperatures and gusty northwest winds into the Florida peninsula, which created some of the coldest weather in several years.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 24 to 25, 2003Arctic high pressure settled over the southeastern United States which maintained the clear and cold weather across the Florida peninsula. Overnight lows of 19 to 24 occurred from Bronson to Brooksville with temperatures in the 30s farther south.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 1, 2001The second and coldest night of a two-night freeze in south Florida saw minimum air temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees over interior sections of the peninsula.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 31, 2000Temperatures fell into the mid-20s over Glades, Hendry, eastern Collier, and western portions of Palm Beach and Broward counties and fell to 32 degrees in the farming areas of south Miami-Dade County. An 85-year old Belle Glade woman died in a fire caused by a kerosene heater.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, February 1, 2026An Arctic airmass descended upon the tri-state area during the early morning hours of February 1st. Actual low temperatures reached the upper teens to lower 20s in many location, but the combination of strong winds drove wind chills down into the single digits to lower teens.
- Extreme Cold and Frost and Freeze in Florida, January 19, 2003Overnight low temperatures ranged from 23 to 28 degrees. Elsewhere, the inland areas of the counties to the south reported lows in the lower to mid 30s.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, February 16 to 17, 2007Canadian high pressure settled over the region and produced the coldest temperatures since February of 2006. Durations of freezing temperatures ranged from 7 to 11 hours north of Interstate 4 and 3 to 5 hours south of the Interstate.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 29, 2002Two areas of cold temperatures formed overnight with mid 20s found in Citrus and Hernando counties and the upper 20s in Highlands county. Counties between these two areas had lows from 35 to 42 degrees. The coldest temperature was 25 degrees 3 miles southwest of Inverness.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 23, 2001Temperatures from the mid 30s to mid 40s along with north winds of 10 to 15 mph produced wind chill values in the mid 20s to mid 30s over interior and southeast portions of south Florida.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 16, 2002Another round of cold air swept into the region. Clear skies and light winds allowed temperatures to drop into the upper 20s for three to five hours. Patchy wet frost was found south of this area along the Hillsborough/Polk county border into Hardee and DeSoto counties.

- Extreme Cold in Florida, November 29, 2002This freeze occurred over much of northern interior Florida with Inverness reaching 30 degrees and Brooksville reaching 26 degrees.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 10, 2001Freezing temperatures were observed in the interior sections of south Florida. Due to earlier freezes, crop losses were minimal.

- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 9, 2002A light to moderate frost occurred over interior sections of south Florida. Some very minor damage was reported to vegetable and other tender crops.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, November 30, 2002Cold high pressure remained in place for a second night causing freezing temperatures across inland areas of northern Florida. Some low temperatures included 28 degrees at Inverness and 26 degrees at the FAWN site northeast of Brooksville.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 21, 2000Temperatures fell into the mid 30s with patchy frost observed near Immokalee.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, December 17, 2002Temperatures from 29 to 32 degrees were found in the Withlacoochee river basin seperating these counties.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, November 24, 2002The first episode of freezing temperatures in west central Florida in late 2002 occurred on this date under clear skies and light winds.
- Extreme Cold in Florida, January 4, 2002Modified arctic air drove temperatures down to 35 to 40 degrees throughout south florida setting several daily minimum records. Wind chills from the upper 20s to the mid 30s were observed in southeast Florida between 5 am and 8 am.
