- Wildfire in Washington, June 3 to 8, 2019The Columbia Basin of eastern Washington is a dry basin under the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains. Consequently this area is an open range land of grass and sage which quickly dries out and becomes vulnerable to wildfire from late spring through early autumn.

- Wildfire in California, June 25 to 27, 2019A broad trough passing over the Pacific Northwest brought breezy winds to the San Joaquin Valley. These conditions, combined with dry fuels led to a increased fire danger for the region.
- Wildfire in Florida, June 28, 2019A small brush/wildfire developed in the Tamiami Pinelands Park area in the afternoon. The fire quickly spread causing damage to two vehicles. Smoke produced very low to no visibility in the area at the time.

- Wildfire in Idaho, July 2 to 3, 2019A lightning strike caused a fire in Jefferson County near Table Butte on BLM property. The grass and brush fire burned over 800 acres. The fire began around 2 pm MDT on the 2nd and was controlled by July 3rd. No structures were threatened and no evacuations occurred.

- Wildfire in Texas, July 4 to 5, 2019The Binford Ranch or Independence Day Wildfire began around 1258CST about five miles north northwest of Wildorado Texas in Oldham County near Binford Ranch Road and County Road 45. The wildfire was determined to have been caused by lightning.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 6 to 8, 2019Lightning caused an 8,272 acre fire 7 miles north of Raft River on BLM property. It was a grass and brush fire that began on July 6th at around 3 pm MDT. It was controlled on July 8th with no structures threatened and no evacuations required.

It was caused by lightning and burned around 200 acres of grash and brush. No structures were threatened with no closures or evacuations. It was controlled by July 14th.

- Wildfire and Strong Wind in Nevada, July 13 to 16, 2019A longwave trough moved across the northwestern US the 13th through the 17th. This trough brought breezy conditions each afternoon to western Nevada and eastern California.
- Debris Flow in Colorado, July 14, 2019Strong instability and adequate subtropical moisture from the North American Monsoon led to thunderstorms which developed across western Colorado. These storms produced heavy rain and some debris flow in San Miguel County.

- Wildfire in Washington, July 18 to 22, 2019During the afternoon of July 18th the Cold Creek Wildfire began just west of the Hanford Site and burned 45000 acres primarily on the Arid Lands Ecology Reserve and Rattlesnake Mountain. This fire was determined to be human caused.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 19 to 30, 2019The Vader Fire was located 13 miles northwest of Stanley south of Highway 21. Thatcher Creek Campground and Vader Creek Day-Use Area were closed. Highway 21 was also closed for a short time. It burned 443 acres. It burned lodgepole pine and the cause was not known.
- Debris Flow and Flooding in Puerto Rico, July 20 to 22, 2019Abundant low-level moisture combined with strong daytime heating and sea breeze convergence to result in heavy showers and thunderstorms across western Puerto Rico during the afternoon hours.
- Wildfire in Arizona, July 21 to 31, 2019The Museum Fire started in the Dry Lake Hills 4 miles north of downtown Flagstaff. It was human caused. The fire was hit by heavy thunderstorms rains just two days later that caused ash and debris flow out of the fire area. The final size was 1,961 acres.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 22 to 26, 2019The Sheep wildfire began on July 22nd northeast of the Material Fuels Complex on the Idaho National Laboratory Complex. It was caused by lightning and by the afternoon of July 23rd had spread to near 90,000 acres all on the complex.
- Wildfire in Idaho, July 22 to 25, 2019The 1,300 acre fire 3 miles northeast of Shoshone began by lightning on July 22nd and burned grass and brush was controlled by July 25th. No structures were threatened.

The fire grew quickly, reaching 6000 acres by 26/1700 PDT. As of the last report at 0430 PDT on August 17, the fire covered 13119 acres and was 100% contained.
- Debris Flow in Wyoming, August 1, 2019A heavy rain and hailstorm caused a mudslide in Hoback Canyon. The mud and rockslide closed US 26/89 for several hours. Several vehicles were blocked between the slides. Plows had to be called out to clear the road.
- Wildfire in Idaho, August 1 to 5, 2019A lightning strike caused the 4,889 acre Spud Fire approximately 12 miles southwest of Carey. It burned grass and brush and threatened no structures. It began around 5:30 PM MDT on August 1st and was controlled on August 5th.

- Wildfire in California, August 7, 2019A brush fire in Oakley prompted evacuations and a preemptive power shutoff for 5600 customers. Fire officials said 58 acres were burned and 2 structures were destroyed.
- Wildfire in Texas, August 7 to 8, 2019The Morrison Wildfire began around 1711CST about 17 miles east of Plemons TX in Roberts county. The wildfire consumed approximately eighteen hundred and ninety-nine acres.
- Debris Flow in Colorado, August 7, 2019Subtropical moisture was advected into western Colorado as high pressure remained centered near the Four Corners area. This led to scattered showers and thunderstorms with some storms producing heavy rain and localized debris flows in Pitkin County.

- Wildfire in Oregon, August 9 to 19, 2019The lightning caused Ward Fire started early on the afternoon of 08/09/19. The fire rapidly spread by running and spotting, aided by topography and winds. As of the last report at 0430 PDT on 08/19/19, the fire covered 1301 acres and was 100 percent contained.
- Debris Flow in Idaho, August 9, 2019On August 9th a mud slide occurred one mile past the east fort of Baker Creek. Warm Springs Road was impassable from the west of the Hot Springs in Ketchum. 3 to 5 inches of mud covered the road.
- Wildfire in Texas, August 9 to 10, 2019A wildfire was discovered in northeastern Garza County on the afternoon of the ninth. Although winds were light, the wildfire spread to 2035 acres before being contained on the afternoon of the tenth.

It grew to 363 acres in rugged terrain covered by grass, brush and juniper. No structures were threatened and it was contained on August 16th.

- Wildfire and Damaging Wind in Texas, August 17 to 24, 2019Isolated thunderstorms developed across the Rolling Plains on the afternoon and evening of the 17th. One of these thunderstorms became severe as it moved near Spur (Dickens County) producing a wind gust to 66 mph.

Strong winds and dry fuels caused the fire to spread rapidly and led to the evacuation of the Saddle Butte subdivision.
