- Flash Flooding in Utah, September 14, 2015Multiple strong thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall moved through southwest Utah on September 14, creating significant flash flooding in Hildale, Utah and Zion National Park.
- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Utah, July 24 to 28, 2021An active monsoon surge brought several back-to-back days of thunderstorms producing heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and hail across the state.
- Winter Storm in Utah, January 11 to 14, 1998A broad Pacific trough moved through the region. High winds occurred with the cold front on the 11th. Some of the highest gusts included: Mt. Ogden 107 mph (93kts), Hidden Peak 71 mph (62kts), Bountiful 50 mph (43kts), NWSFO SLC 47 mph (41kts) and Logan 43 mph (37kts).
- Avalanche in Utah, December 10 to 11, 2004Several days of heavy wet snow combined with strong winds to produce extreme avalanche conditions in the Wasatch Mountains. 4 people lost their lives in avalanches during this two day period.
- Avalanche in Utah, February 6, 2021A backcountry avalanche at Wilson Glade in Millcreek Canyon, just outside of Salt Lake City, caught and fully buried six people, killing four within the group.
- Avalanche and Flooding in Utah, January 7 to 12, 2005A stalled storm system just off the southern California coast was able to tap abundant tropical moisture from the central Equatorial Pacific Ocean and dump copious amounts of rain and wet snow on many portions of Utah.
- Blizzard in Utah, January 11 to 14, 1997A historic winter storm brought death and destruction to Utah during this 3 day period in January. Initially a moist westerly flow was in place over the state. Then a strong arctic front blew through on the 12th creating blizzard conditions.
- Winter Storm in Utah, March 31, 1997A strong cold front roared through Utah on this date. High winds and local heavy snowfall were the main weather problems with this system. 6-14" of snow accumulated in the northern mountains and 2-6" elsewhere. High winds caused extensive damage.
- Dense Fog in Utah, February 3, 2002Dense fog caused an 11-vehicle pileup on Interstate 80 between Tooele and Grantsville. There were 3 fatalities and several injuries in an accident that involved 8 semi tractor trailers, 2 passenger cars and a pickup truck.
- Wildfire in Utah, June 29 to 30, 2007The Neola North Fire ignited during a period of hot and very dry conditions resulting in explosive fire growth. The blaze began in Duchesne County and quickly spread into Uintah County.
- Wildfire in Utah, July 1 to 12, 2007The Neola North Fire ignited during a period of hot and very dry conditions resulting in explosive fire growth. The blaze began in Duchesne County and quickly spread into Uintah County.
- Flash Flood and Damaging Wind in Utah, July 11 to 13, 2011Thunderstorms formed across northern Utah again on July 13th. One of these storms produced a major flash flood near Tabiona, which resulted in one fatality, while two other deaths occurred due to lightning strikes in the Scofield area and San Rafael Desert.
- Winter Storm in Utah, November 29 to 30, 2001Another strong storm pounded Northern Utah, resulting in 3 fatalities. A 9-year-old girl was killed when a snowplow lost control in heavy snow and low visibilities, colliding into a school bus near Delta. Twelve other children were injured in the accident.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Utah, March 21 to 23, 2023The active weather pattern continued into late March, with yet another winter storm bringing snowfall to portions of Utah.
- Avalanche in Utah, December 26, 2003Three snowboarders were killed as a large avalanche swept down the mountain near the Aspen Grove area around Sundance.
- Wildfire in Utah, June 29 to 30, 2007Massive Fire began June 29th near Neola, Utah and quicky spread due to extremely dry fuels and favorable weather conditions. Three civilian fatalities resulted from this fire. Over 40,000 acres had burned by July 4th.
- Avalanche in Utah, February 17 to 18, 2007An unstable snowpack resulted in an increased number of avalanches across the region.
- Heat in Utah, July 1 to 4, 2013A widespread and long-lasting heatwave developed across the western United States at the end of June and continued into the first week of July. Near the end of this heatwave, a few heat-related deaths occurred in southern Utah.
- Winter Storm and Avalanche in Utah, February 16 to 19, 2026A strong and moist trough pushed inland during the middle portion of February, leading to several days of impactful weather.
- Winter Storm and Wildfire in Utah, April 14 to 16, 2015A strong and windy storm system moved through Utah beginning April 14, and the winds caused widespread damage across the state. This damage included a fatal pileup accident on Interstate 80 and a destructive wildfire in central Utah that was fueled by the winds.
- Flash Flooding and Heavy Rain in Utah, July 27, 1998Flash flooding killed 2 California hikers in the Narrows of Zion National Park. Flash flooding occurred again on the Canal Canyon Creek just south of Spring City causing even more damage.
- Winter Storm in Utah, December 28 to 30, 2003Another potent winter storm hit much of Utah, with the northern part of the state the hardest hit. Weather was believed to be the main factor in 2 traffic fatalities.
- Heavy Snow in Utah, January 15 to 18, 1998A moist west-northwest flow with embedded shortwaves was over the region during this time. Avalanches continued to occur in the Wasatch mountains. The highest snow totals were at Alta 30" and Trenton 7" (valleys). 2 snowmobilers were killed in separates slides.
- Winter Storm in Utah, March 7 to 8, 2002A ferocious cold front moved across Northern Utah with lightning, small hail and heavy snow. Very heavy snow along with strong winds made driving treacherous several hours after frontal passage.
- Dense Fog in Utah, January 10 to 11, 2003A Life Flight helicopter crashed in thick fog that shrouded much of the Wasatch Front on the evening of the 10th. The crash occurred just southwest of the Salt Lake City International Airport, killing the pilot, a paramedic, and seriously injuring a flight nurse.
