- Tornadoes and Flood in Tennessee, April 27 to 28, 2011Favorable atmospheric conditions resulted in a deadly tornado outbreak across east Tennessee on the 27th. The thunderstorms produced more than 50 tornadoes across the east Tennessee area with 32 deaths and more than 200 injured.

- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, March 2 to 3, 2020From the late evening hours on March 2 into the early morning hours on March 3, supercell thunderstorms developed and spawned tornadoes across southeast Missouri, southern Kentucky, Tennessee, and central Alabama.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, April 2, 2006One large tree was blown down clipping the front part of a house and taking the chimney off of the house.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, February 5 to 6, 2008The Super Severe Weather Outbreak on Feb. 5, 2008 produced supercelluar thunderstorms, well in advance of a multicell line of thunderstorms. The whole episode lasted about 6 hours.
- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Tennessee, August 21, 2021The deadliest flash flood to ever affect Middle Tennessee, and one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the state, struck the region on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Tennessee, May 1 to 4, 2010A frontal boundary setup across Western and Middle Tennessee late Friday night (April 30), and remained through the weekend. A persistent southerly flow fed moisture into the area and precipitable water values rose to almost 2 inches, based on data from KOHX upper air soundings.
- Flash Flooding and Debris Flow in Tennessee, September 25 to 29, 2024Tropical Storm Helene caps off a several day heavy rainfall event in association with a stalled closed upper low that drew a stream of tropical moisture into the area on the 25th and 26th.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, March 31, 2023A regional tornado outbreak occurred during the late afternoon of Friday, March 31, 2023, and continued into the early morning hours of Saturday, April 1, 2023.
- Heat in Tennessee, August 5 to 25, 2007A severe heat wave brought high temperatures near or above the 100 degree mark during most of the month of August. The unusually warm temperatures combined with high dew points produced heat index values of 105 degrees or greater during the heat wave.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Tennessee, January 14 to 16, 2024A major snowstorm powered by strong upper level dynamics and widespread preexisting low level cold produced heavy snowfall across East Tennessee.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Tennessee, May 4 to 5, 2003Several homes had windows broken or roof damage. Some trees were knocked down.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, February 5, 2008A strong low pressure system tracked from Northern Arkansas into Southern Missouri during the evening hours of February 5th, 2008. Supercells developed out ahead of the system during the late afternoon into the early evening.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Tennessee, January 17, 1999Several trees were blown down.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Tennessee, April 2 to 3, 2025A significant multi-hazard, multi-day event occurred across the Mid-South from April 2, 2025, to April 8, 2025, producing 35 tornadoes, record flooding, and numerous reports of damaging winds and large hail. A large upper-level trough covered the Western U.S. in early April.

- Heat in Tennessee, June 17 to 28, 2009A heat wave affected much of the MidSouth during the period between June 17th and June 28th as an upper ridge of high pressure built over the region. High temperatures soared into the mid to upper 90s with a few days topping out at or just above 100 degrees.
- Tornadoes in Tennessee, November 10, 200211 tornadoes were reported in Middle Tennessee in one of the worst tornadic outbreaks ever in November. 8 people...and possibly a ninth victim...were killed in Middle Tennessee alone. Damage estimate for the tornadoes in Tennessee was placed at $160 million.
- Cold in Tennessee, January 24 to 27, 2026While the wintry precipitation created the initial impacts, it was the multi-day period of subfreezing temperatures that prolonged and, in many cases, worsened those impacts.
- Tornado in Tennessee, April 7, 2006This is where the tornado struck hit the hardest in Sumner County. It entered Hendersonville from Goodlettsville at 1312 CST, and struck Gallatin at 1325 CST. An aerial survey determined this tornado had a path length of 22.75 miles from Davidson County and into Sumner County.

- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Tennessee, March 27 to 28, 2021An historic flash flooding event affected the central third of Middle Tennessee from the early morning hours on March 27 through the day into the early morning hours on March 28.
- Flash Flood in Tennessee, January 7, 1998Heavy rain over several hours triggered flash flooding. The heaviest rain fell between 1900 EST, January 7 and 0100 EST, January 8, where two to five inches fell during the period.
