- High Wind and Strong Wind in Tennessee, February 17, 2008A strong pressure gradient brought non-thunderstorm damaging winds to the higher elevations of east Tennessee on the 17th. Strong winds in the valley was responsible for one death in Loudon County.
- Strong Wind in Tennessee, November 25, 2024A cold front swept through Middle Tennessee late on November 25, 2024, bringing wind gusts of 30 to 45 mph across the area. While these gusts were non-severe, they did cause minor damage to mobile homes in Bethpage and caused a tree to fall in south Nashville.
- Strong Wind in Tennessee, March 3, 2008Gusty gradient winds caused a fatality as a man was trying to hold a mattress in the back of a truck.
- Strong Wind in Tennessee, February 27, 2024Strong winds were felt across Middle Tennessee on February 27, 2024, with gusts of 35 to 50 mph. These winds were responsible for a downed tree near Springfield in Robertson County. Unfortunately, this tree fell onto a roadway, causing a collision which killed the driver.

Strong southerly winds drew unseasonably warm, moist air northward into the region ahead of a cold front.

The strongest winds occurred over the higher elevations.
