- Heat in Tennessee, August 5 to 25, 2007A severe heat wave brought high temperatures near or above the 100 degree mark during most of the month of August. The unusually warm temperatures combined with high dew points produced heat index values of 105 degrees or greater during the heat wave.
- Heat in Tennessee, June 17 to 28, 2009A heat wave affected much of the MidSouth during the period between June 17th and June 28th as an upper ridge of high pressure built over the region. High temperatures soared into the mid to upper 90s with a few days topping out at or just above 100 degrees.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Tennessee, August 1 to 5, 2010An upper level ridge of high pressure further intensified over the Mid-South continuing from the end of July into the beginning of August. The upper ridge of high pressure produced above normal temperatures over the area.
- Heat in Tennessee, June 18 to 25, 2010A prolonged heat wave occurred during the middle to latter part of June across the Mid-South as a strong upper ridge of high pressure moved over the region. Temperatures rose into the mid to upper 90s during the afternoon hours.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Tennessee, August 8 to 15, 2010An upper level ridge of high pressure further intensified over the Mid-South continuing into the middle of August. The upper ridge of high pressure produced above normal temperatures over the area.
- Heat in Tennessee, June 3 to 5, 2011The first heat wave of the summer season arrived in the Mid-South during the beginning part of June. High temperatures reached into the mid to upper 90s while heat index reached between 105 to 109 degrees. Warm temperatures continued into the middle of June.
- Heat in Tennessee, July 1 to 7, 2012An upper ridge of high pressure moved over the Mid-South during late June into early July. Temperatures rose into the upper 90s to low 100s during the afternoon hours. The combination of heat and humidity produced heat indices between 105 and 110 degrees.
- Heat in Tennessee, July 25 to 26, 2012An upper ridge of high pressure continued to dominate the weather pattern during the latter part of July. The combination of temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and high humidity produced heat indices between 105 and 110 degrees on July 25th-July 26th, 2012.
- Heat in Tennessee, August 2, 2012Record high temperatures in the upper 90s and dewpoints in the low to mid 70s led to oppressive heat across Middle Tennessee on August 2. Two young children reportedly died of heat stroke after being left inside a vehicle for several hours in Rutherford County.

- Heat in Tennessee, July 21, 2025Dangerous heat and humidity persisted across the Mid-South. Heat indices ranged between 105 and 110 across West Tennessee as an upper-level ridge continued to build, nudging temperatures and heat indices upwards daily.

- Heat in Tennessee, July 29 to 31, 2010An upper level ridge of high pressure intensified over the Mid-South at the end of July producing high heat indices between 105-109 degrees. These conditions continued into the early part of August. One heat related death occurred as a result.

- Heat and Damaging Wind in Tennessee, July 11, 2019Hot temperatures in the 90s along with high dewpoints in the 70s resulted in heat index values between 100 and 105 on the afternoon of July 11. A 3-year old boy left unattended in a hot car died from heat stroke in Rutherford County.

- Heat in Tennessee, August 13, 2010A young child died in LaVergne after being left in a hot car for more than three hours.
- Heat in Tennessee, August 7, 2012A 5 month old baby died of hyperthermia in Donelson after being left inside a vehicle for 7 to 8 hours on August 7. The high temperature reached 93 degrees at the nearby Nashville International Airport.
