- Flash Flooding and Debris Flow in Tennessee, September 25 to 29, 2024Tropical Storm Helene caps off a several day heavy rainfall event in association with a stalled closed upper low that drew a stream of tropical moisture into the area on the 25th and 26th.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Tennessee, April 2 to 3, 2025A significant multi-hazard, multi-day event occurred across the Mid-South from April 2, 2025, to April 8, 2025, producing 35 tornadoes, record flooding, and numerous reports of damaging winds and large hail. A large upper-level trough covered the Western U.S. in early April.

An incredibly strong surface low deepened to about 979mb over the Ohio River Valley. In fact, this system broke numerous all-time low pressure readings across the lower Ohio River Valley.

The associated surface low pressure system pressed north northeast from the Lower Mississippi across the Mid South on its way across the Lower Ohio Valley.

This system contained unusually strong winds aloft, with wind speeds of 80 mph just 2500 feet above the surface and up to 150 mph at 20,000 feet.

- High Wind in Tennessee, April 14 to 15, 1999Several counties in West Tennessee were affected by high winds behind a line of thunderstorms. The winds were not associated with the thunderstorms. Numerous trees were knocked down across the area.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Tennessee, April 13, 2009A strong pressure gradient across the area brought high winds to the higher elevations and strong winds to the valley. One person died when a tree fell on their home while they were inside.
- Tornado and Damaging Winds in Tennessee, April 1, 2023Numerous thunderstorms moved across East Tennessee during the early morning hours of April 1. Several storms produced damaging wind gusts, and one tornado was confirmed.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Tennessee, February 17, 2008A strong pressure gradient brought non-thunderstorm damaging winds to the higher elevations of east Tennessee on the 17th. Strong winds in the valley was responsible for one death in Loudon County.
- Damaging Winds and High Wind in Tennessee, March 1 to 3, 2023A strong pressure gradient produced high winds across much of East Tennessee through the day on March 3rd. During the afternoon, a line of showers and thunderstorms crossed the area, associated with a cold front.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Tennessee, February 15 to 18, 2025A major severe weather and flooding event unfolded across Middle Tennessee on February 15-16, 2025. As well above average moisture spread into the area, this helped set the stage for very heavy rainfall across Middle Tennessee.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Tennessee, January 29, 2008On the evening of January 29, 2008, severe thunderstorms occurred ahead of an approaching cold front. Once the thunderstorms moved out of the area, strong gradient winds took hold and produced some non-thunderstorm wind damage across Middle Tennessee.

- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Tennessee, December 8 to 9, 2009A strong low pressure tracked across east Tennessee bringing damaging non-thunderstorm winds to the area late in the day on the 8th and continued into the overnight hours on the 9th. The strongest winds occurred over the higher elevations.
- High Wind in Tennessee, October 17, 2006A deep low pressure system moved into the region bringing non-thunderstorm high winds to the mountains of east Tennessee.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Tennessee, October 26, 2010On Tuesday, October 26th, an intense surface low pressure center known as a midlatitude cyclone developed across the upper Midwest, resulting in gusty surface winds, which produced strong to high wind damage events at some locations across the Middle Tennessee.
- Flash Flood and High Wind in Tennessee, March 3, 2023A powerful cold front raced across the Mid-South during the morning hours of March 3, 2023. Strong winds ahead of the front caused scattered damage across northeast Mississippi.
- High Wind in Tennessee, December 20, 2012A cold front tracked across the region triggering high non-thunderstorms wind over the area on the 20th. The strongest wind occurred across the higher elevations where most of the wind damage reports were reported. Wind gusts as high as 100 mph were reported.
