- Heat in New York, August 1 to 3, 2006An oppressive air mass moved slowly east across the region from August 1 to August 3.
- Coastal Flood in New York, October 28 to 30, 2012Post Tropical Storm Sandy was the costliest natural disaster in Southeast New York. Tropical Storm Sandy formed in the Caribbean Sea on October 22.
- Heat in New York, July 4 to 6, 1999An extremely hot and humid airmass covered the region from July 4th through July 6th.On Sunday July 4th, temperatures soared into the mid and upper 90s. The combination of high temperatures and moderate humidity caused most heat indices to range from 100 to 105 degrees.
- High Wind in New York, October 29, 2012Post Tropical Storm Sandy was the costliest natural disaster in Southeast New York. Tropical Storm Sandy formed in the Caribbean Sea on October 22.
- Excessive Heat in New York, July 21 to 23, 2011An oppressive hot and humid air mass produced excessive heat that resulted in day time temperatures 95 to 105 degrees with night time lows in the 70s and 80s. Heat indices peaked around 115 degrees during Friday afternoon, July 22.
- Flash Flooding in New York, September 1 to 2, 2021Extremely heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane Ida overspread southeast New York during the evening of September 1 and continued through the early morning hours of September 2.

- Lake-Effect Snow in New York, November 17 to 19, 2014The epic November 17-19th 2014 lake effect event will be remembered as one of the most significant winter events in Buffalo’s snowy history. Over 5 feet of snow fell over areas just east of Buffalo, with mere inches a few miles away to the north.
- Excessive Heat in New York, July 4 to 7, 2010With high pressure firmly in control, high temperatures reached into the 90s for several days, reaching or eclipsing 100 degrees at several locations during this time.
- Excessive Heat in New York, July 19 to 21, 2013A large area of high pressure remained nearly stationary to the south for almost a week. This resulted in a prolonged period of high to excessive heat across the area.

- Tropical Storm in New York, August 4, 2020Category 1 Hurricane Isaias with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph, made landfall near Ocean Isle Beach, NC at 11:10 pm on August 3rd. Isaias' intensity weakened back to Tropical Storm strength as its forward speed increased to near 30 mph early morning of August 4th.

- Blizzard and Heavy Snow in New York, February 22 to 23, 2026Low pressure in the gulf states moved northeast and intensified along and off the Mid Atlantic coast with the consolidated of mid level energy resulting in a major Nor'easter which brought blizzard and near blizzard conditions to Southeastern New York.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in New York, July 15, 1995A complex of severe thunderstorms raced across the area before sunrise on the 15th. Thunderstorm winds caused widespread damage, downing trees and wires. In North Syracuse, Onondaga County, a parked Boeing 727 at Syracuse Airport was blown into a parked Boeing 737.
- Flash Flood in New York, June 13 to 14, 2003Showers with heavy rain trained across eastern Broome County into western Delaware County the evening of the June 13th. The showers started around 7 PM EST and continued for three hours. Radar rainfall estimates were 3 to 5 inches. Their was no cloud to ground lightning.

- Lake-Effect Snow in New York, November 19 to 21, 2014Lake effect snow developed over Eastern Lake Erie and Southern Ontario Wednesday (19) evening on a southwest flow. Cloud to ground lightning was noted near Long Point near the onset of the activity.
- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, July 8 to 9, 2014A strong upper level system moving across the region led to the development of numerous severe thunderstorms across central New York during the afternoon and evening hours of July 8th.
- Heat in New York, August 8 to 10, 2001A Bermuda high pressure system "pumped" hot temperatures and high humidities across the region.The 6 day heat wave began on Sunday, August 5th, when temperatures first reached 90 degrees at Central Park.
