- Hail and Damaging Winds in New York, July 15, 1995A complex of severe thunderstorms raced across the area before sunrise on the 15th. Thunderstorm winds caused widespread damage, downing trees and wires. In North Syracuse, Onondaga County, a parked Boeing 727 at Syracuse Airport was blown into a parked Boeing 737.
- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, May 31, 1998During the morning hours of May 31, a strong low pressure system over the upper Great Lakes pushed a warm front across eastern New York and western New England. This set the stage for a major severe weather outbreak in eastern New York.

- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, July 8 to 9, 2014A strong upper level system moving across the region led to the development of numerous severe thunderstorms across central New York during the afternoon and evening hours of July 8th.

- Flash Flooding and Flood in New York, June 19 to 20, 2007High pressure moved off the east coast ahead of an approaching cold front, allowing southwest winds to bring a flow of hot and humid air across the region.
- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, May 31, 1998An intensifying storm system moved across upstate New York and into southern Quebec early in the morning on the 31st. This system dragged a warm front northeastward across central New York. A southerly flow of warm, moist, and unstable air quickly developed.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in New York, September 6 to 7, 1998A long lived severe convective wind system or derecho moved into northern portions of the county just before 100 am EDT. These same storms had caused considerable damage upstream in the Rochester area.
- Tornadoes and Damaging Winds in New York, May 15, 2018An approaching cold front triggered numerous severe thunderstorms over southeastern New York. These storms produced 3 tornadoes in the Lower Hudson Valley, as well as microbursts and macroburts.

- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, June 16, 2002Thunderstorms developed along an occluded frontal bounday by midday June 16. Their intensity was aided by a large cold pocket of air aloft combined with the strong June midday sunshine. As the storms approached the Hudson Valley of eastern New York, some of them became severe.
- Tornado and Hail in New York, September 7, 1998An intense line of severe thunderstorms oriented from north to south developed during Labor Day afternoon ahead of a strong approaching cold front. As the storms moved east at 40 to 50 mph, they produced high winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado.

- Tornadoes and Hail in New York, September 16, 2010A warm front in conjunction with strong upper level winds produced numerous severe thunderstorms, including tornadic cells, across the New York City Metropolitan Area.
- Tornadoes and Damaging Winds in New York, September 3, 1993A tornado touched down in a corn field in Batavia and moved northeast. The tornado tore the roof off a home and destroyed the attached garage. The roof was carried about 0.25 mile.

- Hail and Damaging Winds in New York, July 18, 1997Two "waves" of severe thunderstorms moved southeast across the area: The first line of thunderstorms moved across Nassau and Western Suffolk Counties during the early afternoon. The second line of thunderstorms moved over the area during the evening.
