- Wildfire in New York, March 9 to 10, 2020A fire on Breakneck Ridge began early afternoon on Monday, March 9th near the town of Cold Spring, NY. By the morning of March 10th, 150 acres of land had burned.
- Wildfire in New York, April 16, 2001A person in Argyle, Washington County was burning his trash during the afternoon of April 16. The wind increased, causing the fire get out of control. The tinder had dried out enough for the fire to spread quickly. 34 acres of land were scorched and a hay barn destroyed.
- Wildfire in New York, July 5 to 7, 2002Smoke, from many forest fires across the Nemiscau region of northern Quebec, became trapped under a subsidence inversion, and was transported south across eastern New York from the evening hours of July 5, to the late evening of July 7.
- Wildfire in New York, November 8 to 13, 2024A wildfire, called the Whitehouse fire, started on November 8, 2024 in the Peekmoose Valley region in the Town of Denning before spreading rapidly up a steep ridge within the Sundown Wild Forest. The fire remained in forested area only destroying several outbuildings.

- Wildfire in New York, April 18, 2001A dry, breezy day allowed a small fire to briefly rage out of control near Glenville, Schenectady County on April 17. The blaze scorched between four and six acres of grasslands, and threatened several homes west of the Glendale Nursing Home.
