- Blizzard and Winter Storm in New York, January 28 to 29, 2022A Nor'easter tracked just east of the benchmark bringing the highest snowfall totals and strongest winds to eastern coastal sections. Blizzard conditions verified across Suffolk County on Long Island, with near blizzard conditions for Southern Queens and Nassau Counties.
- Winter Storm in New York, April 15 to 16, 2007A storm system initiated across the southern Rockies on the 12th and moved across the southern Plains on the 13th into the Gulf coast states on the 14th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in New York, December 11 to 12, 2008A cold front moved across eastern New York and western New England on Wednesday, December 10th, ushering a cold airmass into the region. A low pressure system developed over the southeast states Wednesday and Wednesday night.
- Winter Storm in New York, January 25 to 26, 2026A low pressure system emerged out of the Southern Plains and Texas and rode northeast through the Tennessee Valley and the Appalachians, before emerging just off the New Jersey coast.
- Winter Storm in New York, February 14 to 15, 2015A strong clipper crossed the Great Lakes and brought snow and blowing snow to the region and some of the coldest air of the season. The snowfall amounts were enhanced downwind of Lake Ontario and upslope east of Lake Erie where snowfall amounts around a foot were recorded.

The first was a round of light to moderate snow after midnight on 6th to around sunrise, which resulted in one to five inches of snow along and north of the I-88/I-90 corridor.

- Winter Storm in New York, February 18 to 19, 2000With cold air in place, as a warm front approached from the south and a weak low pressure system moved northeast along the coast, light snow developed from around 6:40 am at Westchester County Airport to 10:45 am at Westhampton Beach (in Suffolk County).

- Winter Storm in New York, March 31, 1997On March 31 and April 1, a classic late season nor'easter tracked from the Chesapeake Bay area northeast to central coastal New Jersey then slowly out to sea. This system produced rain across much of eastern New York during the morning hours of March 31.
- Winter Storm in New York, March 13 to 15, 2017Low pressure over the Great Lakes combined with low pressure lifting north along the Atlantic coast to bring significant snowfall to the entire region. Snow began across the region during the late evening into the early overnight hours of the 13th-14th.
- Winter Storm in New York, January 25 to 26, 2000Low pressure developed across the southeastern US on Monday January 24. This storm consolidated along the coast of Georgia, then began to rapidly deepen early on January 25 .
- Winter Storm in New York, January 3 to 4, 2003A low pressure area developed in the Mississippi valley by late on January 2. The storm tracked northward into the southern Ohio Valley, then rapidly redeveloped along the Mid Atlantic seaboard on January 3.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in New York, March 12, 2014Low pressure moved across the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic coast then lifted northeast to the Canadian Maritimes. Snow began across the region during the pre-dawn hours of the Wednesday the 12th.
- Winter Storm in New York, March 1 to 2, 2018A weak low pressure strengthened as it moved across Pennsylvania and merged with a low along the eastern coast.
- Winter Storm in New York, April 9, 2000A strong cold front moved across eastern New York, then stalled to the east, over the Connecticut River valley late on April 8. Low pressure developed along this front, off Cape Hatteras.
- Winter Storm in New York, January 31, 2000Low pressure formed in the Gulf States on January 29. This storm tracked northeast along the piedmont of North Carolina, then the DelMarVa Peninsula, coastal New Jersey and Western Long Island on January 30.
- Winter Storm in New York, January 12 to 13, 2018A developing winter storm brought first a wintry mix of precipitation during the evening of the 12th and then heavy snow through the morning of the 13th. Rain changed to a mix of freezing rain and snow during the evening.
- Winter Storm in New York, March 7 to 9, 2008One of the worst storms of the 2007-2008 winter season occurred on from the 7th through the 9th. This was an extended two part event but totals of one to two feet were common, with some isolated higher amounts.
