- Flash Flooding in New York, September 1 to 2, 2021Extremely heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane Ida overspread southeast New York during the evening of September 1 and continued through the early morning hours of September 2.

- Flash Flood in New York, June 13 to 14, 2003Showers with heavy rain trained across eastern Broome County into western Delaware County the evening of the June 13th. The showers started around 7 PM EST and continued for three hours. Radar rainfall estimates were 3 to 5 inches. Their was no cloud to ground lightning.
- Flash Flooding and Flood in New York, June 19 to 20, 2007High pressure moved off the east coast ahead of an approaching cold front, allowing southwest winds to bring a flow of hot and humid air across the region.
- Tropical Storm and Flash Flooding in New York, August 28 to 31, 2011Tropical Storm Irene tracked north northeast across eastern New York and western New England during Sunday, August 28th, producing widespread flooding, and damaging winds across the region.
- Flash Flood in New York, June 27 to 28, 2006Tropical moisture continued to stream northward into upstate New York ahead of a frontal system which slowly moved westward into the eastern Great Lakes by Tuesday morning the 27th.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, August 28 to 29, 2011Tropical Storm Irene moved across southeast New York and southwest New England during the morning hours of August 28th and then proceeded to track north along the Connecticut River Valley in Vermont during the afternoon and evening.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, July 8 to 10, 1998Localized thunderstorms early in the morning of the 8th dropped three to five inches of rain across parts of Erie, Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston counties. Over five inches fell in just a few hours over much of Wyoming county.
- Flash Flood in New York, April 2 to 3, 2005A slow moving storm from the Ohio Valley brought 1 to 4 inches of rain on April 2nd and 3rd. Before this storm, the rivers and streams had high flows due to a previous rainstorm March 28th and snowmelt.
- Flash Flooding and Damaging Winds in New York, August 9 to 10, 2009A massive convective complex moved from lower Michigan across southern Ontario near Toronto then dove southeast across the Niagara Frontier and Western Southern Tier. This followed an earlier round of strong thunderstorms and heavy rains earlier in the day.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, October 31, 2019A strengthening low pressure system moving from Ohio to Lake Ontario drew anomalous warmth and moisture northward on Halloween, with temperatures surging into the 60s and 70s over eastern New York and western New England.

- Flash Flooding and Hail in New York, August 11, 2004A cold front moved into a humid airmass over the tri-state area on August 11th. Thunderstorms developed along this cold front during the afternoon. Due to the moist airmass in place over the region, the thunderstorms became quite strong to severe.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in New York, August 7 to 8, 2023A weak surface low tracked across western NY to the northeast of Lake Ontario from the afternoon to the late evening hours.
- Flash Flood in New York, June 27 to 28, 2006A steady stream of tropical moisture flowing north into upstate New York ahead of a frontal system across the eastern Great Lakes brought periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms to Chenango County from early Monday the 26th through Tuesday morning the 27th.
- Flash Flooding and High Wind in New York, September 16 to 17, 1999The remnants of Hurricane Floyd moved up the eastern seaboard on September 16 and during the early hours on September 17. The storm brought both high winds and exceptionally heavy rainfall to eastern New York, which included a large swath of 3 to 6 inch amounts.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, August 28 to 30, 2011Hurricane Irene brought heavy rains and high winds from northeast Pennsylvania to the Catskill Mountains of New York from Saturday evening the 27th to Sunday afternoon the 28th.

- Tornadoes and Flash Flood in New York, July 21, 2003A large upper air trough dug across the western Great Lakes on Monday, July 21. At the surface, a deep low pressure area moved across the eastern Great Lakes, driving a warm front across eastern New York and adjacent New England.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, December 17 to 18, 2000A complex storm system began to evolve on Saturday December 16 across the Mississippi Valley. A surface low tracked north into the Eastern Great Lakes by December 17.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in New York, September 7 to 12, 2011The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee moved northward from the southern Appalachians on the 6th to the middle Atlantic states on the 7th before stalling on the 8th.
