THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...WYOMING COUNTY
 
MOST SMALL STREAMS IN WYOMING COUNTY HAVE BEGUN TO FALL. HOWEVER... SOME
SMALL STREAM FLOODING CONTINUES. ROUTE 97 NEAR BAILEYSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
IS BLOCKED BY HIGH WATER. WOLFPEN ROAD TO WELCH HAS WATER ON IT IN
SEVERAL PLACES. LITTLE INDIAN CREEK IS STILL OVERFLOWING NEAR FANROCK.
 
SMALL STREAM OVERFLOW WILL SLOWLY END DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS
SINCE THE AREA HAS BEEN FREE OF RAINFALL SINCE EARLY MORNING.
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO END BY 500 PM THIS AFTERNOON.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES IN REFFECT THROUGH TONIGHT FOR WYOMING
COUNTY. RAINFALL OF ONE HALF TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN AN
HOUR...OR 1.00 TO 1.25 INCHES IN 3 HOURS WILL LIKELY BEFGIN FLASH
FLOODING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATERH SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES.
