THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS EXTENDED THE SMALL STREAM
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S...

IN SOUTHWEST WEST VIRGINIA

   ...LOGAN COUNTY...MINGO COUNTY

AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO TRACK SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS MINGO AND
LOGAN COUNTIES. AUTOMATED RAIN GAGES INDICATE THAT 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES
OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE EARLY MORNING. THE GROUND IS SATURATGED AND
ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL RUN OFF RAPIDLY AND CONTRIBUTE
TO THE SMALL STREAM FLOODING.


ANOTHER ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN MAY FALL IN THIS AREA BY
300 AM.

IN ADDITION TO THE SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING...A RIVER FLOOD WARNING
HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE TUG FORK RIVER FROM ABOVE MATEMWAN DOWNSTREAM
THROUGH WILLIAMSON.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT N$IGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
