IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA ...FAYETTE COUNTY...RALEIGH COUNTY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IN THE PAST 12 HOURS HAS DRIVEN MANY STREAMS AND CREEKS TO NEAR BANKFULL OR BANKFULL. OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL MAY PUSH SOME OF THESE CREEKS AND STREAMS OVER THEIR BANKS. IF YOU LIVE ALONG AN AREA OF POOR DRAINAGE...A STREAM CREEK THAT TENDS TO FLOOD. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
