FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S...
 
IN NORTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA

IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA

RAINFALL OF 2 TO 3 INCHES DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS HAS CAUSED RISES
ALONG ALL SMALL STEAMS IN RANDOLPH AND WEBSTER COUNTIES.
 
IN RANDOLPH COUNTY...LEADING CREEK IS SPILLING OUT OF ITS BANKS.
SOME VOLUNTARY EVAUCATIONS ARE TAKING PLACE AT LOWER PLEASANTS ALONG
THE LOWER PORTION OF LEADING CREEK. DRY FORK IS AT BANKFULL AT HARMON
ANDRISING.
 
THE HEADWATERS OF THE ELK RIVER AT BERGOO WAS AT 6 FEET AND RISING
AT 900 AM. IT SHOULD REACH THE 8 FOOT BANKFOOT STATGE BY 11 AM. MINOR
FLOODING ALONG THE ELK RIVER CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THE BERGOO AREA
DOWNSTREAM THROUGH WEBSTER SPRINGS INTO EARLY AFTERNOON.
 
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE HALF INCH IN AN HOUR WILL ADD TO
THE FLOODING ALREADY BEGINNING ON SOME STREAMS...AND WILL CAUSE
OTHER STREAMS TO OVERFLOW.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS` THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES.
