000 TTAA00 KCRW 161418 FFWCRW WVC109-161800- BULLETIN FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV 1015 AM EDT THU MAY 16 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...... IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA ...WYOMING COUNTY RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAIN...2.5 TO 3.5 INCHES...DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE SOME SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN WYOMING COUNTY. FLOODING ALONG LAUREL FORK HAS CLOSED STATE ROUTE 10 NEAR MATHENY. THE GUYANDOTTE RIVER IS ALSO RUNNING VERY HIGH AND SOME MINOR FLOODING TO LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE RIVER CAN BE EXPECTED. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES. ZINN &
