- Tornadoes and Hail in Missouri, May 22 to 23, 2011A strong upper level trough across the central plains region and a strong upper level disturbance along with a frontal boundary in the area produced numerous severe storms with a few supercells across southeast Kansas.
- Heat in Missouri, July 18 to 31, 1999A heat wave gripped the area for the last 2 weeks of July. Temperatures stayed in the middle to upper 90s with a few days topping 100. Columbia set a record high with 104 degrees on 7/29/99. St. Louis tied a record with 103 degrees on 7/30/99.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Missouri, May 20, 1957
- Heat in Missouri, July 18 to 31, 1999Northwest Missouri suffered through two weeks of oppressive heat and humidity in late July as temperatures topped the 90 degree mark for 14 consecutive days. Dew points in the lower to middle 70s pushed afternoon heat indices above 100 degrees each day.

- Excessive Heat in Missouri, July 1 to 8, 2012A record setting heat wave continued from late June into July, finally breaking on July 9. Columbia, MO was over 100 degrees from June 27 - July 7. St. Louis, MO was over 100 degrees from June 28 - July 7. St.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Missouri, May 10, 2008Three tornadoes were spawned from supercell thunderstorms that developed over southeast Kansas. These storms quickly moved into southwest Missouri causing devestating damage to homes, businesses, and trees in Newton, Barry, and Jasper counties.

- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, December 26 to 28, 2015A slow moving and strong weather system caused several rounds of very heavy and record breaking rainfall to occur across the Missouri Ozarks which led to historic and deadly flooding.
- Flash Flooding in Missouri, October 4 to 5, 1998Thunderstorms containing very heavy rainfall over West Central Missouri on October 4th resulted in several episodes of major flash flooding. The most deadly and costly flooding occurred in Jackson County where nine people lost their lives on the evening of October 4th.
- Excessive Heat in Missouri, August 4 to 16, 2007The first and only Heat Wave of the summer started in August 4th and lasted through August 16th. Eight deaths were reported in the St. Louis Metro area. The city of St. Louis reported 422 heat related injuries. St. Louis County reported 519 heat related injuries.
- Excessive Heat in Missouri, July 17 to 31, 2011A major Heat Wave started on July 17th and continued into August. High temperatures ranged from the lower 90s to around 100. Columbia hit 100 on July 28 while St. Louis topped the century mark on six days, including four in a row from July 20 - 23.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Missouri, March 14 to 15, 2025A major outbreak of severe storms including tornadoes, damaging winds, and very large hail occurred across southeast Missouri in the late evening of the 14th and into the very early morning hours on the 15th.
- Excessive Heat in Missouri, July 18 to 25, 2012An unusually strong upper level ridge of high pressure, dominated the central United States with very hot and dry conditions, from July 18th through 25th 2012. Temperatures topped out from 100 to 110 degrees.

- Heat in Missouri, July 23 to 31, 1999A prolonged period of excessive heat occurred in central, southwest, and south central Missouri. Afternoon high temperatures during this period averaged 95 degrees or higher with heat index values of 105 to 115 degrees.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Missouri, May 16, 2025During the afternoon of May 16th, numerous supercells developed ahead of a cold front and within a favorable environment for high-end severe weather. These produced widespread severe weather including 2 to 2.5 inch hail, wind damage, and two tornadoes.

- Tornado in Missouri, May 4, 2003This tornado is a continuation of the Newton County tornado. A large tornado laid out a half mile wide path of destruction across southwest, central, and east central Lawrence County.
- Tornadoes and Damaging Wind in Missouri, April 5, 2023A cyclic supercell moved northeast from Arkansas, producing two tornadoes in southeast Missouri. Both tornadoes occurred in heavily forested areas. The second tornado struck a small community called Glenallen, located near Marble Hill in Bollinger County.

- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, June 13 to 14, 2026Severe thunderstorms with tornadoes and damaging winds occurred late in the evening of June 13, 2026. Repeated rounds of heavy rainfall caused flash flooding and river flooding. Between 3 and 6 inches of rainfall fell with this system. Some fatalities occurred from the flooding.
- Heat in Missouri, July 7 to 10, 2001The first real heat wave of the summer hit the area July 7 through July 10. Temperatures peaked in the middle to upper 90s with the Heat Index ranging from 105 to 110. At least 5 people died from the heat.
