- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 16, 2016Freezing drizzle caused major travel impacts and numerous accidents around the Missouri Ozarks. There were a few fatalities associated with car accidents which were indirectly caused by the icy road conditions.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, February 4, 2018A band of snow dropped southward across southern Missouri. A brief period of moderate snow within the band dropped visbilities to near 1/2 mile at times. This band of snow was accompanied by a surge of colder air which dropped temperatures.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Missouri, December 22 to 24, 2022A storm system initially brought one to two hours of freezing drizzle during the early morning hours of December 22nd before precipitation changed over to light snow.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, November 12, 2018Light snow began falling early in the morning on November 12. While the snow was generally light - moderate at times - 1 to 3 inches of snow fell across the area which caused area roads to become icy, and numerous vehicle accidents ensued.
- Ice Storm and Hail in Missouri, February 5 to 7, 2019A prolonged freezing drizzle and freezing rain event impacted all of eastern Kansas and western and central Missouri from February 5 until February 7.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Missouri, January 29 to 30, 2023A storm system brought a prolonged 24 to 30 hour period of freezing drizzle across the area, beginning during the early overnight hours of January 29th and continuing throughout the day on January 29th before ending in the early morning hours of January 30th.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 1, 2025Snow began during the mid morning hours on Monday, December 1, just 2 days after a much heavier snow fell on November 29.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Missouri, January 13 to 16, 2017Freezing rain started on Friday January 13 across portions of southern Kansas and southern Missouri. Freezing rain fell across a fairly narrow corridor on Friday night into Saturday morning across that area, causing icing to occur.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Missouri, January 25, 2021On the morning of January 25, 2021 light to moderate snow moved into northern Missouri. Widespread amounts were around 6 inches, but some areas across far northern Missouri reached the 8 to 12 inch range.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, February 11, 2008A light coating of freezing rain and sleet fell during the morning of February 11, 2008 resulting in numerous traffic accidents and injuries. At least 130 accidents were reported in Boone County resulting in 35 injuries.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, February 15, 2019A winter storm brought 3 to 5 inches of snow to portions of central Missouri, while freezing rain brought ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch along the Highway 60 corridor.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, February 15, 2019Light to moderate snow began falling across the region in the mid to late morning hours on Friday February 15, 2019. By the early afternoon heavy snow had been falling for a couple hours and area roads became impassible.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, February 10 to 11, 2018A prolonged period of freezing drizzle occurred over southern Missouri on February 10-11, 2018. Ice accretions of 0.10 to 0.20 were common across must of southwest Missouri.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 1, 2025A storm system and brought the first light snowfall to the area during the morning. While total snowfall amounts were generally one inch or less, cold ground temperatures and Monday morning traffic allowed for several vehicular accidents and school closures.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, April 20, 2021With slick roads causing accidents across the Kansas City Metro one such accident proved fatal, just on the Missouri side of the Missouri River along I-635 near where it intersects with Horizons Parkway.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, November 15, 2022Overnight through the morning of November 15th some light snow fell, which accumulated on roadways causing a few automobile accidents. At least one of these accidents caused a fatality.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, January 6 to 7, 2010A low pressure center moved eastward across central Illinois and Indiana, bringing one to three inches of snow to southeast Missouri. Amounts varied from about an inch along and south of Highway 60 to as much as three inches in the Perryville area. U.S.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 2, 2024A weak clipper system caused a brief period of light snow during the late morning and afternoon hours on the 2nd. Temperatures had initially been around 32 degrees, but dropped into the 20s later that day and evening.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Missouri, December 15 to 17, 2019Early in the morning on December 15, 2019 light snow began falling, and increased intensity through the day. While this event was a pretty run of the mill winter storm, it did produce 6 to 8 inches across much of the area.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 22, 2022A powerful arctic front swept through the Mid-South during the afternoon and evening on December 22nd. Temperatures dropped as much as 20 degrees in the first hour after the frontal passage.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Missouri, December 29 to 30, 2020A strong system ejected eastward into the central part of the country just after Christmas. Precipitation started out as snow, but as warm air aloft moved in it switched over to liquid rain, freezing on contact with all sub-freezing surfaces at ground level.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, January 6, 2014After several inches of snow fell across the area roads remained snow packed and icy. A vehicle slid off an icy curve and slammed head-on into a snow plow treating and clearing roads from the earlier snow fall.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, November 27 to 28, 2015A prolonged, multiple day freezing rain and freezing drizzle event caused numerous accidents across western Missouri, including the Kansas City metro area. Highlighting these accidents was a fatal accident occurring on Highway 210 near Ameristar Casino.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 16 to 17, 2019A couple of rounds of mixed wintry precipitation impacted southwest and central Missouri. Round 1 occurred December 15 and round 2 December 16. Storm totals snows were generally 2 to 3 inches of snow from Lebanon to Rolla, Missouri.
- Winter Weather in Missouri, December 9, 2013Light snow on December 8, 2013 left icy patches on the KC Metro roads. On the morning of December 9 a college student lost control of her car on a icy spot on the road, and collided with the center barricade. She passed away as a result of the incident.
