- High Wind in Missouri, September 14, 2008Frequent wind gusts from 60 to 75 mph caused widespread damage in parts of southeast Missouri. The low pressure center that was the remnant of Hurricane Ike raced northeast at 40 to 50 mph across Missouri and Illinois. The center passed between Carbondale and St.
- Wildfire and High Wind in Missouri, March 14 to 16, 2025A vigorous storm system over the central Plains, with a sub 980mb surface low over Kansas, induced a very strong pressure gradient across southeast Missouri. The result was strong south southeast winds through the afternoon and evening.
- High Wind in Missouri, December 13, 2008High winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph occurred across southeast Kansas into west central Missouri as a powerful low pressure system tracked from the central plains to the Great Lakes.
- High Wind in Missouri, January 29, 2008A brief period of high winds followed in the wake of a cold front passage. Wind gusts were measured up to 61 mph at the Poplar Bluff airport, 60 mph at Doniphan in Ripley County, and 62 mph at the Cape Girardeau airport.

- Hail and Damaging Winds in Missouri, December 15, 2021On December 15, 2021, a large-scale weather event rolled through the Central Plains and Upper Midwest bringing tornadoes, dust storms, wildfires, and snow across several central and northern states.
- Wildfire and High Wind in Missouri, March 14 to 18, 2025Gusty winds of 40-60mph occurred during the afternoon of March 14th. Afternoon relative humidity fell into the 10-20 percent range which led to extreme fire conditions. This led to power outages and numerous tree limbs down.

- High Wind in Missouri, April 11, 2001Strong winds hit the area with over 100 trees blown down and a few homes damaged. Around the Fort Leonard Wood area, winds came through and destroyed half of the boat dock and damaged many of the pontoon and bass boats.

- High Wind in Missouri, February 11, 2009A powerful low pressure system moved northeast across central Illinois. Damaging southwest winds occurred during the day as solar heating warmed the lower atmosphere. A peak wind gust of 58 mph was measured at a television station in Cape Girardeau.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, March 3 to 5, 2023A strong storm system led to significant impacts. Heavy rainfall amounts of 3 to 4.5 inches produced flash flooding of a few creeks and roads. Small rivers such as the Black, Current, and St. Francis experienced minor flooding.
- Tornado and Damaging Winds in Missouri, November 11, 2015On the afternoon of November a dry line pushed through the area, bringing very strong westerly winds to portions of western and northwestern Missouri. Several locations reported winds up to 60 to 70 mph, unrelated to thunderstorms.
- High Wind in Missouri, March 4 to 5, 2025Gusty winds of 40 to 55 mph occurred behind a diminishing line of showers and thunderstorms on March 4th. During the evening of March 5th, non thunderstorm wind gusts of 45 to 60mph occurred across southeast Kansas and southern Missouri.
- High Wind in Missouri, February 25, 2001Strong gradient winds from a deep low pressure system over the upper Midwest produced winds of 30 to 35 mph with gusts from 45 to 50 mph across the region. Minor tree, power line, and roof damage was common across the area.
- High Wind in Missouri, March 13, 2001A strong low pressure system moving across the Great Lakes made for a windy day across the region. Winds were generally 20 to 40 mph with gusts from 40 to 50. Scattered reports of tree, roof shingle and sign damage were common across the area.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Missouri, March 19, 2025A powerful 100-150kt upper-level jet early on the 19th led to deepening lee-side low pressure at the surface, and winds just off the surface increased to 50-60kts over the middle Mississippi Valley.
- Damaging Wind and High Wind in Missouri, May 10, 1999A line of storms moved across northwestern sections of Missouri. Other thunderstorms approached west-central Missouri, but dissipated, producing wind gusts to 50 mph in and south of the Kansas City area.
