Over 130 reports of severe weather and flooding were received from the Missouri Ozarks.

A persistent trough over the central plains brought multiple upper level storm systems over the region which produced intense thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, November 4 to 5, 2024Overnight on Sunday, November 3rd, a shield of rain and thunderstorms moved into the bi-state area. By Monday morning, persistent rainfall resulted in fatal flash flooding in southeast Missouri, with one fatality occurring in Iron County.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, April 4 to 5, 2025Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms occurred across southern Missouri between April 4th and April 6th. The highest rainfall amounts occurred southeast of Springfield where pockets of 8-10 inches with localized amounts to 12 inches occurred.
- Flooding and Heavy Rain in Missouri, October 30, 2009A prolonged period of moderate rain with pockets of heavy rain caused flooding across the region. The heavy rain occurred along and ahead of a slow-moving cold frontal boundary.

- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, May 1, 2019Strong storms produced heavy rainfall and flooding as a slow-moving cold front moved across southeastern Kansas and into Missouri from overnight April 30th and continued into May 1st.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, January 10 to 11, 2020During the afternoon and evening of the 10th, strong to severe thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front over eastern Oklahoma and southeast Kansas before spreading northeast into the Missouri Ozarks through the early morning of the 11th.
- Flash Flooding and Hail in Missouri, June 21 to 24, 2019Another cycle of overnight and early morning storms complexes with scattered afternoon storms resumed across the region during the June 21-24 period. Flash flooding and severe storms occurred each day with this activity.
- Flash Flood and Damaging Winds in Missouri, July 13 to 14, 2023Storms developed over eastern Oklahoma and southeast Kansas during the evening of the 13th and moved along the Missouri and Arkansas border during the early morning of the 14th. The strongest storms produced up to ping-pong ball sized hail over Oregon County.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, July 5 to 10, 2015A stalled frontal boundary in the area developed multiple rounds of thunderstorms which led to flash flooding. There were a few flash flood emergencies due to the catastrophic nature of the flash floods. There were several reports of damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, September 6 to 8, 2018The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon tracked from the Mississippi Coast into southwest Missouri. Widespread rainfall occurred over the Ozarks Region, with pockets of excessive rainfall leading to flash flooding.

- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, May 5 to 20, 2007A slow moving cold front and upper level storm system, combined to bring severe thunderstorms and heavy rains to the region, late on May 5th through May 6th, 2007. Several rounds of heavy rain were observed across northwest Missouri, from near St.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Missouri, June 16 to 19, 2015The remnants of Tropical Storm Bill moved slowly over the region and produced widespread heavy rainfall and isolated severe weather. Moderate to major flooding occurred on area streams, rivers, and lakes. Historic flooding occurred on the James River around the Springfield area.
- Tornadoes and Damaging Winds in Missouri, January 29, 2013A line of thunderstorms intensified as it moved east across southeast Missouri. The storms increased as they moved into slightly more unstable air associated with a strengthening low level jet. The storms were aided by the approach of a strong upper level trough.
- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Missouri, May 12 to 13, 2010Severe weather and heavy rain was observed across the lower Missouri River Valley region, May 12th through may 13th. Numerous impacts were felt in the region, with heavy rain, wind damage, and hail.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, May 19 to 20, 2025A strong storm system pushed into the area during the afternoon of May 19, 2025 and persisted into the evening and overnight hours. This system produced 8 tornadoes across the area, along with widespread wind damage and between 1 and 5 inches of rainfall.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flood in Missouri, May 26, 2024A shortwave trough approached the Missouri Ozarks on May 25, 2024, priming the atmosphere for moderate instability and sufficient deep layer shear.
