Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Missouri, July 1 to 4, 2015

There were multiple reports of wind gusts estimated up to 60 mph throughout Benton County.

Several trees and power lines were blown down.

Multiple trees were uprooted near SE 1000 Road and SE 801 Road near Collins.

Benton County dispatch reported numerous streets flooded across the county. Highway C near Lincoln was impassable as well as some residential areas.

There was a report of wind gusts estimated up to 60 mph.

A tree was blown on Highway 32 about 1 mile east of the Niangua River near Buffalo. The tree blocked the west bound lane.

A tree was blown down blocking Highway U west of Crocker.

Several trees were blown down along Highway 123 between Fair Play and Aldrich.

Lightning hit a transformer which knocked out power.

A NWS storm survey concluded that a EF-1 tornado touched down on the west side of Warsaw. The estimated maximum wind speeds were up to 95 mph. The tornado touched down about 3 miles northwest of Warsaw and lift just west of downtown Warsaw. The path width was estimated to be around a quarter of a mile wide and was on the ground for over 3 miles. Numerous trees were uprooted along the path. A metal building was damaged. A boat dock was flipped and heavily damaged with 7 boats sunk at the dock. A fireworks tent was blown over. There were a couple of trees that fell on to recreational vehicles at a RV park.

Numerous trees were blown down around Dixon.

Multiple trees were snapped along Highway E and County Road 506.

A brief tornado occurred along Highway E near Hayden. The tornado uprooted one tree as well as downing several large limbs as it moved across the highway.

Highway T was flooded.

Highway E between Highway 5 and Eldridge was flooded and impassable.

There was a picture on Facebook of a tree that fell onto an outside AC unit near the city of Metz.

Several large tree limbs were down on to power lines at Rafe Road in Lebanon.

There were numerous pictures from social media of large trees blown down around Lebanon. A couple trees fell on to outbuildings and fences causing damage.

Several large tree branches were blown down and the power was knocked out.

Numerous roads were closed including Highway 133, Highway DD, Highway BB, and Highway T due to flooding.

Highway 64 at Goodwin Hollow Bridge was closed due to at least 2 feet of water over the road.

Water was reported over a portion of I-44 near mile marker 136. Traffic was rerouted around this section of interstate.
