The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Southeast New Mexico
  West/Southwest Texas

* Effective this Sunday morning and evening from 1115 AM until
  600 PM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible

SUMMARY...Within a seasonally moist air mass, scattered strong to
severe thunderstorms will continue to develop across the region this
afternoon and generally drift southward. The strongest storms will
be capable of large hail and severe-caliber wind gusts.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75
statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles west northwest
of Roswell NM to 50 miles north northeast of Midland TX. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
