The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 100 PM EDT.

* At 1241 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located 13 miles southwest
  of Yadkinville, or 5 miles northwest of Harmony, moving north at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Emergency management confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Iredell County, including the following locations...
  Union Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
