The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Alexander County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 1245 PM EDT.
    
* At 1233 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located 8 miles northeast of Taylorsville, or near Love
  Valley, moving north at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Alexander County, including the following locations...
  Vashti.
